I turned 60 in November and the older I get the more I hate the cold. It got down to around 30 this morning in Woodstock, Ga. Keep trying to convince my wife to move to Gulf County Fl once we retire but not having any luck. Told her I might just have to go without her. LOL

Weird thing was it was supposed to get upwards of 50deg yesterday. So i wore short sleeves. Was a balmy 45 at lunch and it started clouding up. Forecast called for ZERO chance of rain. I had 600# of corn in back of truck. Looked at radar and read a couple reports of sleet and freezing rain back towards Ttown. Went back outside and it was like 35. Supposed to be close to 60deg today

Pulled my wife and kids downstairs tonight when the sirens went off for the storm that hit Fultondale and Center Point. Missed us, but we were in the polygon.

Been a while since I've done that.
Wow.....hometown there Bro. Understand sleeping with one eye open. Got kinda rough here in Spring Hill.
Nothing like hearing weather sirens in the distance

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

It was bad. The biomed here at St. Vincent's East lives up there and drove through the area to work. Said it's a war zone.

Apparently the thing crossed 65 at Fultondale then moved along Carson. Pretty much the same path as the 2012 one, but it didn't track as far. At least one of my industrial customers got hit hard at the intersection of Carson and Pine Hill, near Newcastle.

The one good thing I'll say is that it's amazing how far the NWS and doppler radar has come. Fultondale, as hard as it got hit, had an 8-10 minute lead time on an embedded spin-up at night. A couple of decades ago in this situation we may not have even known a tornado had touched the earth until it had already ended.

21 degrees and sunny, feels like 7 with the Windchill. Felt like -4 at 6am.
Yeah, I decided not to run today. It was 10 degrees yesterday with the win chill when I ran. Today was a bit too much.

About a foot of new snow on the ground this morning, with another foot on the way in the next 24 hours.
