I know immigration and “border security” are hot button talking points for the right. It seems the left typically doesn’t like talking about it much for fear of being labeled with the “Open Borders” tag.
I thought I’d start a thread for discussion on the topic.
I feel fairly certain about two things regarding this:
1. The “Wall” isn’t the answer, even if it magically did stop everything the right believes it would. That would cripple our agricultural sector badly.
2. I can’t imagine living in the conditions these folks are fleeing from. Our policy, IMO needs to be as compassionate as possible.
