Is SEC that strong?

Kentucky is without a doubt the best team in the country, IMO. After them, there is a sizeable gap down to Florida and Georgia; a slight gap to LSU, UA, MSU, and Aub; and then the rest.

Realistically, Florida and Georgia could compete with most any other team in the country other than Kentucky. That puts the SEC with 3 teams equal or greater than the rest of the country, IMO. The rest of the SEC that will make the tourney is going to be shark bait in the big dance, IMO, but deserve a shot.

I predict 6 of 8 advancing after 1 game, 4 sweet 16, 3 great 8's, and perhaps 2 final 4's, depending on regional matchups, and Kentucky to beat Zona for the NC.

I believe the SEC is as strong as advertised. What was missing in the pre-season hype is that Kentucky was severely under-rated (picked 3rd in East and 5th overall) and the power was incorrectly placed in the west (UK, UGA and Fla are a combined 18-0 vs. the west).

I just hope the SEC can prove our strength to the rest of the country in March when it counts. How nice would it be to see multiple teams in the Final 4, or even an all-SEC final?
