Hundreds of students have now gathered on Johnny Majors Boulevard and are blocking the road, apparently with the goal of keeping departing Coach Lane Kiffin from leaving the lot.
There are signs that order is breaking down--someone has apparently brought a mattress down and lit it on fire.
Why? On what level would it have been good for fRan to have come back?Maybe it's a good thing Fran didn't come back. Can't really believe I just said that.
Now hearing that Orgeron is telling early enrollees @ UT not to attend school...
Boy, Bama has one of the best season with all kind of rewards, wins the SEC & BCS Championship, and now Tennessee is probably in meltdown mode......
Could this season get any better or what ??????
LOL
I'm afraid Tennessee might come out of this better off though. I was going to enjoy the Kiffin train-wreck the next few years, but now they might actually get a real coach.
:BigA: ROLL TIDE :BigA:
Tennessee not only lost head football coach Lane Kiffin and some of his staff to Southern Cal Tuesday night, the Vols also lost their two commitments from Byrnes High School, DE Brandon Willis and DE Corey Miller. "I was just about to leave (Duncan for Knoxville) when that came on," said Willis who was going to join Miller as an early enrollee. "All my bags are packed. I'm talking to my dad right now trying to figure out what to do. I'm back open. I've got one more official visit. I might take it, I might not. UCLA is still in the mix. I won't stay in the state. And I won't go to Tennessee. They had the nerve to call me and ask me to come to Southern Cal. And coach Orgeron had just told me he was going to be my coach at Tennessee. Auburn just called me. I don't know what to say." Willis said Miller also will go elsewhere. "I think Corey will be on his way back," Willis said. "The don't start school until tomorrow. I think his parents are going to get him." Willis has not been available for comment. While Willis is not interested in the in state schools, Miller may be and USC is expected to make contact with him.
Lane,
I hope your flight crashes...I wish u 0- 12 seasons.. To the pilot flying Lane.. Take it down baby.. take it down
I just started a facebook group..."Lane Kiffin Su**s" everyone feel free to join.
Lanes news conference couldn't have been any worse. This is going to set us back four years. We will have to get lucky with the next hire because there is no time to wasted. Maybe its time for Kippy!
I defended the guy and can't sort out my feelings right now. I have to agree with those who say this will kill us for at least five years, UNLESS the new hire is a blockbuster AND he has a dynamite staff already lined up. I don't see how it is possible to save the recruiting class. Right now, it is hard to see how we can even field a team next year.
Dare i say it..? ok, here goes, Butch Davis was right...(that hurt) With Kiffin leaving now our recuiting class is going to be decimated for the next few years so yes, he ran us into the ground
I think I just threw up again in my mouth....
If ya'll didn't see it coming, you're blind as hell. He has been a joke and an embarrassment from day ONE. I have said all along that he was the wrong hire for many reasons, and guess what ..he was. Oh well!!
GO LADY VOLS!!!!!
Well that just sent a program on life support a year ago back to the hospital. It will take 5 years to recover from this hit
Gary Willis, the father of Tennessee recruit Brandon Willis, had planned to drive his son from Duncan, S.C., to Knoxville, Tenn., on Tuesday night so Brandon could begin classes on Wednesday. "We won't be going to Tennessee now," the elder Willis said.
Willis had narrowed his choices to UCLA, North Carolina and Tennessee. He announced his commitment to Tennessee during Saturday's U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas. The elder Willis said the family had spoken to UCLA and North Carolina coaches on Tuesday night after Kiffin news broke. Had Willis set foot in a class at Tennessee, he would have had to obtain a waiver from the NCAA to transfer without sitting out a year. "I'm glad it happened when it happened," Gary Willis said. "It could have been a real mess.""
