LB/DE Denzel Devall Updates

Two colleges have stood out so far to prized Bastrop defender Denzell Devall, and Louisiana fans probably won't like the sound of either.

"Basically, it's been Alabama and (Texas) A&M that's stuck out to me the most," he said. "I just have great relationships with the coaches and players and everything. They're just great atmospheres."

recent pics of JH would seem to indicate that he is bigger than 235 lbs. my untrained naked eyes would say he is near the 245-250 lbs range.

Plus, these kids have another year to grow before they are ready for college football. A 210-215 pounder just entering his HS senior year is a pretty good sized LB.

Thanks for the update, Fishhead. I haven't followed his recruitment much at all, but I'm surprised LSU isn't really in it if they're interested.

Never had auto-correct change either "Alabama" or "LSU" to "we're," so that is no typo. Exactly how reciprocal 'Bama is about that whole "we" business might be another story, though.

I tend to think that is right, too, but with space as limited as it is right now there are very, very few players out there that I would definitively say we would take. I think we would probably take Devall, but admittedly I do think he is at least possibly somewhat on the fence in that regard.

Everything I have read tells me Devall is above Kwon on the board.

Agree on Jenkins. #1 player in GA and his offer is unconditional so I don't know about Devall (I agree he is higher on board than Kwon).

I have no doubt we'd take Jenkins, but would we take them both, especially with Ryan anderson already in this class? or would Devall be a back up to Jenkins, since general consensus is we lead with Jenkins.

I have read Devall is our top LB target right now to come into this class. I have also read we might try to make for both him and Q Lambert who UA seems to have a legit shot at.
