BREAKING Milroe declares for draft

I think milroe would be a better Taysom Hill than Taysom is, especially since his throwing skill is with the long ball and he's a better runner. If the falcons didn't need so much defense it would be tempting.

I've seen something similar mentioned numerous times on here and on other outlets. Taysom Hill is a football player. He can play on punt team. He could play at OLB. He could play at FB. He could play at QB. He could play at RB. He could play at TE. He could play at ILB. He could play at Safety. He could play at all of the above at a high level in the NFL.

Milroe is not able or is not willing to play at any of those at a high level in the NFL. Comparing Milroe to Taysom is comparable to comparing Michael Jordan to Tony Snell. They may both have similar attributes and size but they aren't the same.

"Milroe is another quarterback who has been struggling throughout camp. He has overthrown multiple receivers due to inconsistent mechanics and release. He tends to be hesitant and needs to see receivers open, resulting in a lack of anticipation."

Sounds kind of familiar.

There is another video evaluation of Milroe I can't link, as the guy curses several times. Its on the YouTube channel...Mister Truth.

He names the upside for Milroe.....he's got good frame and can be explosive.

The Downsides though:
- classic one read and run QB
- Cannot process both sides of the field
- Zero ability to throw with anticipation
- Misses wide open WR's very often
- Comically bad accuracy/ball placement
- Horrific pocket presence/movement
- Has no feel for the game
- Telegraphs runs with his eyes
- Panics in the pocket when under pressure

And IF the other QBs really couldn't beat him out then it would appear we're going to have a true freshman at QB next year.

Well DeBoer has yet to have a qb of his signing actually play a down of football. So I can't/won't put too much on him right now.
I don't think CNS did a bad job. Milroe was a backup option because we wanted Drake Maye who, as we know, decided to stay at UNC and Milroe was available.
Add to that the NIL stuff and such............
Let's see what happens this season moving forward.

Crazy to think anyone ever had him going in the 1st. And he still might. Such are the egos of those leading NFL programs.
