Need Help!!! Washing Machine

It is definitely the water level. I am not sure if that will be the case with all the new he top loaders or this one. The load was not over full and I read the instructions to make suse I am using the correct cycle. Some of my shirts on the top of load are not even getting wet until the rinse cycle. Thanks to the glass lid I have been watching. Clothes are just sitting on the top. In these new washer it senses the water needed and uses as little as possible. The problem is the water level is about 3 inches from the top of clothes and it doesn't move them enough to make the ones on top go to bottom.

Because of new regulations, the water level is controlled by sensors and you can't set it yourself. And you are right, this results in clothes not getting clean. Here is the work around we use. Set the controller to delicate or sensitive or whatever yours says. This will override the water sensor and add more water. Then set the soil selector to heavy, the spin speed to high and add an extra rinse at the end. This works well for us. Good luck!

Got a LG HE style front loader about 2 years ago, my first front loader, and have been pleased with it so far. I researched them on Consumer Reports first and chose the LG. Uses very little water and detergent.
I've got an LG top loader--like Bamaro, I researched them on CR, and have had no problems with the washer or the dryer.

The top loaders cycle water on top of the clothes during the wash cycle--ensure that everything gets wet.

Ignore the salesperson, go directly to the store manager.

Regulations on washers, seriously? Anyway, we have a local shop in the town over from us that sells washers to laundry mats. We were able to buy one from him years ago, and it is the best we've had. Not even sure the name.

My wife has had a Samsung front loader for 4 years. Never a problem but I've never used it. My wife loves it. I'm old school.

We had an LG front loader for about 9 years until it recently flooded part of our home and carpet in adjacent areas. My wife just hated it and couldn't wait to get a top loader. It would OFTEN stop in the middle of a wash cycle and showed an error message. We learned that usually you could just unplug it and restart it. But several times, I had to get the door open and ring the clothes to get most of the water out then throw them into a 20 year old Maytag Dryer.
