While LM gives out little info at PC's here's what I gathered from todays press coference.

RP and Odom will not practice until all facts are gathered and then a decision will be made.

Felt optimistic that Dorsey will play. Don't know how close to 100% he'll be.

Doucet and Flynn healthier than they have been for a while.

Took several NS questions:

Did not feel Saban's having coached some players would be much of an advantage, since it was almost 3 years since he'd been involved with their play.

Appreciated what NS did here. Did not see where players felt that they had anything to prove to their old coach. That they were appreicative of NS giving them the chance to pursue their goals of football and education. Said his sense was that the players played for themselves and LSU, not either coach.

Game preparation was the same as always.

Felt that rivalries developed when teams had a lot at stake when playing each other.

Did not feel that extra security would be needed for his team. (THis was a question) started laughing and said that Bama fans were very supportive of their team, but never out of bounds (paraphrasing) in their conduct.

Overall very compimentary of Bama's fans and facilities. Said both were equal to any in the country

that's why I always liked Spurrier, his are just about the only press conferences that say anything different

Everybody elses is "playing a good team..." "Gonna have to limit turnovers..." "Going to be a hostile environment..." ETC

He said they would practice like they would not be available for this weekend until he found out further details. so it sounds like he is just planning ahead jic.

LSU Head Coach Les Miles says quarterback Ryan Perrilloux and linebacker Derrick Odom will not practice today and the team is preparing as though they will not have them for Saturday's game.

He made the statement at the beginning of his regular Monday news conference. He also said he would not answer any questions on the incident until he had a chance to find out more information about what happened.

No doubt, Spurrier is the most honest HC out there.

Gotta love the Ol Ball Coach

More security? Give me a break. Besides the normal taunts nothing big is going to happen. It's just a football game after all. Leave the media out and its no big deal.
