Bama Game Thread: Official Postgame Thread - Bama vs. AU...

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

We can win a few games, but ultimately we will likely run into a brick wall at some point where we just can't move the ball, just like last year at Michigan. But I'd still gladly take it.
But we had a lead with 2 minutes to go. And, it was tied at the end of regulation. Difference in a Nick Saban team and Kalen DeBoer team. Nick found ways to win when the team was playing poorly.

Big difference. Saban has been doing this for years This was DeBoer's first run through the SEC. It's a little soon to be labelling him as such

I would say, as a Data Scientist who manages teams of Data Scientists, that the FPI is flawed. There is no way Alabama should be ranked that high after losing to Vandy and being blown out by a pitiful Oklahoma.
Last I checked they were #7 in both the S&P and the Sagarin. if they used a BCS formula, Bama would make the playoffs. Just sayin.

Defense should get the ball game. They played well when we needed them, too, especially in the redzone. The first interception by Brown might go down as the play of the season if Bama gets in the playoffs. The running game looks good in spurts. Sheridan continued to pound the ball throughout the game as if to make a statement. Tight ends were instrumental in keeping drives alive. I hope to see more of them moving forward as it helps Milroe's confidence. Converting 3rd down was crucial in the victory. Penalties were unbelievable at times, refs seemed to focus more on the home team!
