Bama Game Thread: Official PostGame Thread - Bama vs. UMO...

I was at the game today. It so frustrating watching Milroe run RPO. You may not be able to see it on TV but Mizzou was keying on Milroe to keep on the RPO. Miller and Haynes could have absolutely shredded Mizzou on outside runs if Milroe had just handed the ball off.

Guys, Milroe is just a selfish player. He wants his touches whether they are there or not. Im not sure why but it seems the whole team is just over him.

Im convinced we made some NIL agreement with him that included more than just money but playing time and feature plays per game in exchange for him recruiting and holding the roster together in the offseason. And we are honoring the agreement despite the fading results...
Did we make it with him, or were we forced to make it with the group he leads?

The only former player criticisms that bother me are from Damien Harris. He’s a bit more pointed than everyone else and it’s a bit rich coming from him for me. Like yeah cool that player messed up but I don’t remember anyone coming for you when you would fumble at the worst possible moment….routinely

I was not really stressed at all after the #2 QB had to come in. 3rd different school in five years told me all I needed to know, and he proceeded to prove the hypothesis correct...
No no no. U have it all wrong. The other teams just didn't utilize him as they should have and now I guess Mizz is doing the same thing. It's the school/coaches fault.

Didn't see much of the second half. Good win a lot of the same issues on offense.

It's downright criminal that DeBoer did not put Simpson in earlier & with the 1's. He's getting no meaningful snaps & could/should have gotten some today.

Probably portal bound.🫤

Definitely something to build on. Lots to clean up but should feel really good about this much-needed win in a week when all was in doubt.

Vandy playing TX tough til they threw an INT on own 40 with 5 min to go. So, even though any loss to Vandy is unacceptable, at least it wasn't just a fluke.

Yep, and I suspect (and hope) that Vandy will give the Vols all they can handle in a few weeks.

Couldn’t watch today because of work. Glad to get the win. Defense getting shut out as well. I just hope what‘s going with the offense gets fixed. Doesn’t seem we have confidence in anything right now.

Just now finished the game. Liked the D. They’re adjusting to the new scheme. Milroe’s footwork is not good. Missed some open receivers due to mechanics. Loved Jam and Justice scoring today. Thought some of the reserve OL played extremely well.

My record stands triumphant - over all the decades I've gone to game I've still never attended a game at BDS where Bama lost.

You're welcome. :ROFLMAO:

I do accept free tickets if you wish to utilize my obvious mojo...

im actually thinking of how many losses I’ve attended. Until I started going religiously I went 20 years without seeing a loss in person. But go to enough of them and you’ll see a few.

2014 Ohio St
2015 Ole Miss
2019 LSU
2021 UGA (NCGG)
2023 Texas

So I’ve seen 5 by my own count unless I’m missing one.

I've been to a BUNCH of games over the years - the only Bama loss I've witnessed in person was the 2008 SECCG.

Remember, I said AT BDS. So 2014 OSU and 2021 UGA wouldn't count.

FTR, I was at the 2019 LSU game, but was manning the TideFans tent so I didn't actually attend, so it counts. I remain convinced that if I would have been in the stadium Bama would have pulled it off. :)

Too bad we play LSU on the road this year

A good and much needed win. Likely a different game and possible outcome if Missouri's starting QB and RB had played. Milroe's footwork is atrocious, he opens up his body and on many occasions throws off his back foot. The defense played a solid game although they played a watered down version of Missouri's offense. LSU looked really good until they didn't. TAMU's QB knows how to run the RPO, ours has no clue.
