Re: Former Penn St. DC Jerry Sandusky arrested for 40 counts of sexual assaults of mi

This sure brings to light something that people have been fighting around the world for years. This type of heinous activity has been going on in places like the Eastern Bloc, Thialand, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and Brazil for a long time and has become so prevalent that there are actually economic statistic available on the amount of money it generates in these countries each year. I always try to look for the good in any situation and believe me in this there is very little, but hopefully this will raise awareness of this awful blight on civilization and lead to at least a few children being saved from it somewhere. It's easier to ignore something when you believe it really only happens in far away places.

Re: Former Penn St. DC Jerry Sandusky arrested for 40 counts of sexual assaults of mi

I wonder if we'll ever know just how far people went to keep this under wraps this long? I don't see how these people live with themselves.

Re: PSU Coach Joe Paterno fired!

The DA that offed himself/disappeared and wiped his hard drive - it makes me wonder if he was involved in the alleged ring.

I want to see who all is in support of Joe Pa. Mods start a thread that is for positve posts about Jod Pa. I DONT think there will be a lot. We have a very limited few come here and say it maybe you need your own thread so yall can play together:mad:

Re: Former Penn St. DC Jerry Sandusky arrested for 40 counts of sexual assaults of mi

I wonder how long Sandusky will last. The guy is walking around on bond, right? I wouldn't be shocked if he took his own life at this point. It's worse than finding out a guy is a serial killer to me.

Re: Penn State Officials Reportedly Planning Paterno's Exit

This is what I think & really do not care what everybody else thinks! Joe knew & told the officals above him what else is he suppose to do? It was out of his hands...Go to the police? Well GEEE! What the President was suppose to do? But instead they make Joe the bad guy & just blast him to ruin his coaching career. The main stream media making a field day on him is just wrong! I am behind the students fliping the news van as an outrage which is wrong but firing Joe is more wrong. They already got the man in jail why they not keep going after them? Can anybody tell me that? Now ain't that ironic? Instead they keep going after Joe but to me they just want to ruin someone who is famous. That ticks me off!

FYI, Paterno isn't the only one being tarred and feathered right now. There are a lot of heads rolling right now besides his, and there will be plenty more to come. Also, if we're talking about any other offense, then I might agree with you, but we're talking about helpless, defenseless little children here, not freakin' animals. Paterno forfeited his right to act as a role-model to these kids by his apathetic actions in this case. IMHOTIFWIW

Re: Penn State Officials Reportedly Planning Paterno's Exit

So you see a child being raped at work and you tell your boss. Months and years later you still see the bastard who did this still at work everyday with you. You are ok with this? You could sleep at night? Whatever

This is where the media fails to tell the timeline. Does anybody know exactly the timeline? What all happened day by day? Now as it seems the President failed then I will agree Joe should have done more. No, I am not ok with child being raped. The media & news seems to have allot of mix stories so hard to tell who is telling what & facts are.

Someone is liable to beat him to it.

Re: Penn State Officials Reportedly Planning Paterno's Exit

As I said earlier, it is the rush to judgment that bothers me. I do think that Joe Paterno has done many, many good things in his career. Based on what I know now, which is virtually nothing, I would not have fired him yet. I would have given him the benefit of the doubt that I believe he has earned. But the Board of Trustees may have had more information than any of us. And, in any event, they must protect the institution. It may be that we eventually find out that Joe Paterno didn't know what many of you think he knew. If that is the case, then if nothing else his last act as coach would have been as a sacrifice to try and save the athletic program from its own self-destruction.

That is my point they rushed it & even admit it on live TV. I can agree with the timeline if it does not fit then yes, I do agree Joe should have done more. But I do agree every word you say.

For Sandusky, suicide would be a result of guilt for doing something horribly wrong. I don't think this animal thinks he did anything wrong. A line from Shawshank Redemption comes to mind about "being human and they don't qualify." Suicide is much more likely for the victims and those covering up these atrocities.

Someone is liable to beat him to it.
That was my thought this AM - he doesn't just have the victims and their families to worry about, now he has hundreds of thousands of PSU fans who probably don't think very highly of him...

I doubt Jerry Sandusky would kill himself, if that were a possibility he would have done that way before now. He is obviously a sick serial child molester and sociopath who apparently does not have a conscious.

He was harrassed by phone calls back in 2005 by some PSU players, those players were later suspended from PSU for making harrassing calls to him. I think you can probably guess what those calls were about.

Sandusky was seen on campus last week where he had an office. He was seen wearing PSU clothing. Since his arrest on Saturday Sandusky has called the police and had some news media escorted off his property for harrassing him. How strange is that? The first call to PSU Police on this matter apparently was from Sandusky himself to report harrassment. This is after he was arrested and charged with multiple counts of child sex abuse. lol

PSU and Paterno were enablers of a child molester. That is the bottom line. Whether it was turning a blind eye, walking away after witnessing a child rape, denying any knowledge of the seriousness of the situation. Sandusky was seen showering, raping, and abusing young boy(s) on or around PSU. This is beyond a sick situation, it is dispicable.

I am no longer sad for Paterno. or his supporters. My saddness has turned to anger at Pateno in particular and the entire PSU Administration that was involved.

1996-98 – Victim 5 is taken to the locker rooms and showers at Penn State by Sandusky when he is 8 to 10 years old.

Jan. 1, 1998 – Victim 4 is listed, along with Sandusky's wife, as a member of Sandusky's family party for the 1998 Outback Bowl.

1998 – Victim 6 is taken into the locker rooms and showers when he is 11 years old. When Victim 6 is dropped off at home, his hair is wet from showering with Sandusky. His mother reports the incident to the university police, who investigate.

Detective Ronald Schreffler testifies that he and State College Police Department Detective Ralph Ralston, with the consent of the mother of Victim 6, eavesdrop on two conversations the mother of Victim 6 has with Sandusky. Sandusky says he has showered with other boys and Victim 6's mother tries to make Sandusky promise never to shower with a boy again but he will not. At the end of the second conversation, after Sandusky is told he cannot see Victim 6 anymore, Schreffler testifies Sandusky says, "I understand. I was wrong. I wish I could get forgiveness. I know I won't get it from you. I wish I were dead."

Jerry Lauro, an investigator with the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, testifies he and Schreffler interviewed Sandusky, and that Sandusky admits showering naked with Victim 6, admits to hugging Victim 6 while in the shower and admits that it was wrong.

The case is closed after then-Centre County District Attorney Ray Gricar decides there will be no criminal charge.

June 1999 – Sandusky retires from Penn State but still holds emeritus status.

It is my opinion that letting Joe Paterno coach another game hurts the players and creates very real security concerns......distractions and dangers.

The distraction would be that most of the country would be pulling against Joe Paterno and Penn State, which causes the players to become more collateral damage, they seem to have been lost in this situation, but I can understand why. The danger. They say 1 out of 8 boys and 1 out of 4 girls are victims in their childhood, so the possibility that an angry husband or father could try to become an instant celebrity is very real. There is a reason why this crime makes you a target, even by criminals, and right now Joe is being looked at as an accomplice in a sort of way by his lack of prevention.

No way that he could coach another game no matter how bad of a way it is to go out.

Thanks. Now we all know about the timeline. To make myself clear & to others No I am not for Child Molesting,Abuse,Rape, never was & never will be. For one to a hint not to get personal or give info. out in the open about my own mother as a hint she was 17yrs old trapped in a back of a car enough said...I feel no remorse,no mercy of men who do that.
thanks for the post.

Re: Former Penn St. DC Jerry Sandusky arrested for numerous sexual assaults of minors

I hope McQueary has trouble getting a job at the local McDonalds after he is fired. I agree with the others on here, how do you leave the kid there with that monster? And how do you just ignore what happened on a day to day basis around this pervert? The whole thing is sickening. Lord help those victims.

I find it very hard to believe that McQueary has not been fired. He should be gone or at least placed on administrative leave pending a hearing on this situation.

Re: Former Penn St. DC Jerry Sandusky arrested for 40 counts of sexual assaults of mi

Seems the rumor starting to break is that Sandusky might have pimped out kids in the Second Mile program.

It has been going around as unsubstantiated rumors that this situation was going to get much worse and even more shocking when all the details come out. I hope that is not what happened.

Well lets look at it like this...

The first report we have of Sandusky having "affairs" with children is in the late 90's. You have to be extremely naive or just plain dumb to think that this psycho child molester just woke up in the 1990's and said, "Well I think I have grown a fetish for little kids and I am going to act on it today." More than likely this predator has been doing this for decades and has just now been caught! I mean how much stupidity and "casualness" does it take to do the things he did with someone in the showers at the football facilities...Wow!

In all likelihood you are right, more will come out and we will find out just how big of a travesty this really was!
