Questions about Milroe.

I think this is a very complex and tenuous situation. I think CKD is doing all he can to get through the season. Then, in the off season, he can hit the reset button and clean house. At that point, he owes these guys nothing. He also can hit the portal to get what he needs to replace the guys who choose to leave or are shown the door.

So, the remainder of the season may be tough, but next year we'll see a very different team take the field.

Well said, MLH!

I think a lot of folks on here need to give coach a chance.

He was given a team that just isn't quite built for his system. Once he gets HIS guys in place, I think we'll all be pleased by the product that he puts on the field. In the mean time, just be patient!

So the image from the Tennessee game that shows our receivers running WIDE OPEN…

it just makes me even madder WE are behind held hostage by Lank.

Can you imagine a REAL QB that can read a defense, and accurately distribute the ball to the receivers??

The more this gets out there about what’s going on, the more I see how much CKD’s hands are truly tied..

Speaking of QB’s…Eli Holstein is having a nice year so far.

He would have really flourished in CKD's system. But he's flourishing now and I'm happy for the young man. I knew the first time I saw him play in a HS playoff game he was going to be a legit college QB .

Totally depends on the internal mood of the team. If the leaders of the team still back Milroe, then I'd say CKD will keep him as QB1. If the internal mood changes AND Simpson shows improvement, then CKD may make the changes we're all hoping to see...

DeBoer should sit Nick Sheridan too after this ridiculous response. I’’m not about “Mickey Mouse” football. If this was part of his “play design” then he needs to drag his rear end to Orlando and work for Malzahn.

Next thing you know, we’ll be running a reverse whirly gig, Statue of Liberty play…

CNS was using the two receivers as decoys. If they do any movement they will remain covered. Does the play look good from an optics standpoint? Absolutely not. If you want to use them as a decoy have the inside guy run a bubble and the outside guy run a go route. Cute is only cute while you are winning.

Maybe this week in a goal line situation Sheridan’s play design will include Patty cake or the Kid N Play House Party dance.

Or they could do back flips. Didn't we see that earlier in the season?

That exact same thing has happened in EVERY game JM has played. Even on positive plays, there's very, very often better options available earlier, or guys being WIDE open for a while and then JM going sandlot and everyone having to improvise to accommodate.

Yeah, and he was our fourth string last year. So think about how much better Simpson is if that guy is balling out! Boz from another bama board that goes to these private scrimmages in the fall once again, said, leading up to the season that "Simpson was playing better than Milroe" in those fall scrimmages.

That guy's handle keeps coming up all over the place so he must have some direct sources because everyone who mentions him says "His info is almost always dead on".

Maybe I missed it; but I can't remember ever seeing Milroe and Simpson together on the sideline? Sharing info; encouraging each other, etc. ?
I do remember Milroe cheerleading for Simpson during that 2023 USF game where Milroe got benched, but we'll never know if it was genuine or if Milroe was simply trying to get back into the good graces of Saban.

Yeah he's legit and has been spot on way more than he's ever been wrong.

There's another guy who is spot on with Medical information w/ injuries and he said yesterday that QB1 has no significant injuries.

It's high level sports. What you did three weeks ago doesn't matter. It's what they signed up for.
If he had continued to play the way he did for a quarter & a half against Georgia, I might have signed on. I had a feeling it was fool's gold, though.

As AJ McCarron has said, he hasn't improved from this year to last in the areas he needed to. Unfortunately, I think AJ is right.

JessN posted yesterday that he thinks JM will either be in the NFL OR transfer next year. I hope he's right because I can't imagine another year of this drama hijacking the team/coaches.

I highly respect Jess, but I think alot of people have American Idol Syndrome when it comes to Milroe being an NFL QB. As far as transferring, not sure why he would. He is a starter and making more NIL money then he would at any other school.
