Looks like the Boys in Crimson are going to have to play their collective tails off if they're going to have a chance. This tourney is likely the end of the road for the Tide this year, so they might as well pull out all the stops and go for broke.
:biga2:

I like our match ups better on this side then the other. If we play to our potential, we can beat any team on this side of the bracket (odds are better that I'd win the Mega Millions drawing in GA then this happening, still there is a shot though)

For the rocord, Gottfried is 2-11 vs Donovan including 0-3 in SEC tournament play, losing in 2001, 2004 and 2005. The games have been extremely close, but we usually fall apart near the end vs them in Tournament games.

After looking over the brackets I'm going to go way out on a limb here and pick Arkansas to win the whole thing. I think they're a bubble team that will play their butts off hoping for a tournament bid.
The logical choice would be Tennessee or Vandy but I see potential personnel match up problems as they advance.
Or course I'm going to hope that Bama will simply play up to potential and walk away with the trophy.

Not sure how anyone knows what Alabama's "potential" or capability really is. This has been a mediocre-to-poor team for the better part of two years. Why does anyone expect better?? Not saying I won't be rooting for the Tide, but what they are capable of is yet to be seen ... or has it??

it doesn't matter which sideline has the most talent or potential. Donovan teams always make Mark look incompetent as a coach.

Please be fair, it's not just Donovan that does that. An intrasquad game could do that.

Yes. It would have been interesting to see that closed scrimmage we had with So. Alabama during pre-season practice. Ronnie Arrow is a really good coach. I remember he brought his TAM-CC team in to Tusc. a few years ago and it was a really close game up until the last few minutes. If I remember correctly, Kennedy Winston scored several points in a flurry to pull it away.

The logical choice would be Tennessee or Vandy but

Picking Tennessee to win a game in the SECT, much less the whole tourney, is NEVERY a logical choice  Maybe, we'll turn the corner this year, but they gotta prove it to me first LOL

As for Bama's game, I think the UF game is interesting because on one hand, Florida is fighting for their tourney lives, especially with MTSU and San Diego pulling upsets and eliminating two at-large spots...However, on the other hand, Florida is talented, but they are VERY young, and have never been in tourney play before...Bama is experienced, but Billy D is the best tourney coach in the league

No idea who to pick in this one
