Sen. John Fetterman is the best Democratic candidate for 2028, IMHO.....

  • Hi Guest, we are working on updating the site servers and software. We're also 'forcing' everyone to read and agree to our site privacy policy and terms of service. There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for supporting the site and being an active participant!

He's still alive. Maybe he will win the nomination at the GOP convention in 2028. If they even have one.
I half expect them to run Trump and then dare anyone to do anything about it.

And J.D. Vance is a damned fool if he thinks he's the next man up. He better hope for Trump to cross over Jordan if he ever is going to be President.

The Senate wont stop him because their wont be enough to convict him on impeachment...

The House may impeach him but that wont go anywhere...

The Supreme Court MIGHT rule him ineligible but they cant enforce their own orders...

The blue states wont have him on the ballot and it wont matter. The red states will have him on the ballot and he will carry those states anyway...

The Military won't stop him under Hegseth leadership...

The CIA wont stop him under Gabbard leadership...

For whatever role they played, the administrative state has been gutted...

The voters dont know if their votes will even been recognized...

All the elements have already been laid for a dictatorship in waiting...

I half expect them to run Trump and then dare anyone to do anything about it.

I was in Ft Walton Beach all last week. I saw a t-shirt in the souvenir store that had Trump and Vance, wearing cowboy hats and looking all tough. The caption: "It Will Take A Felon And A Hillbilly To Make Things Right".

I thought, "Well, I guess they finally admitted he's a felon." Gaaaaawlee!!! :D

More like "unconventional", I guess.

Someone not afraid to go against their party....especially in matters of common sense.

We need more of that, IMHO.
Is it "common sense" to punish a foreign nation for placing your buddy on trial? And double or more coffee prices in the US?

At this point, that would not surprise me.
I think Governor Wes Moore (Maryland) looks promising. Afghanistan veteran. Able to engage Trump on a rational basis. I have not heard him express any crazy ideas.

I like Fetterman's common-sense proposals, and willingness to break from the loony parts of his party's consensus. We'd probably disagree on a lot of things. Still, I think we'd have reasoned discussions and be able to have a beer together afterward and talk about the Steelers. I think I'd like him as a person.

But guys, he's not mentally stable enough to be President. Maybe a top advisor. But he can't sit in the chair.

And yes, I know Trump isn't real stable himself. First, their symptoms are different. Fetterman withdraws. Trump rages. You might not like what Trump rages about or agree with his position. But you know where he stands. Fetterman gets laid up in a hospital room on suicide watch and can't function for weeks. Think our enemies might try to take advantage of that?

Second, the fact that the incumbent isn't stable doesn't mean it would be a good idea to follow him with another unstable guy.

Surely to goodness, out of 350 million people there's somebody out there who can repudiate the extremes of both parties and has some common sense about limits -- as in, if some is good, that doesn't mean a ridiculous amount more is better.
