Seems to me when we line up in shotgun, the snap needs to have a lot more "snap" on it. Maybe just my imagination, but looks like everytime it just "floats" to JPW and then he has to make an effort reaching losing valuable down field vision time. Competing with agressive defensive alignments means the defense is at JPW about the same time the ball arrives.

What amount of time do you think that would actually save? Less than a second is my guess...and he'll still be dropping back a few steps and setting up.

Containment on the DE's is where that problem lies...not in how quickly the snap gets there.

In fact, thinking about it, it would probably not make a difference at all because of the extra concentration needed catching a quick spiraling snap...

All I know is the defense was at JPW as soon as the ball was. No doubt offensive line holding them up is number one priority, but I don't see other shotgun formations floating a snap from center to QB. With hard charging defense fractions of a second are the difference in completions, incompletions, and interceptions.

Let see what else negative we can bring up. Oh, when need to put Money on the bench, he almost missed that field go the other day. Bama fans are "PATHETIC"

Your exactly right TerryP, if it came at him 90 miles a hour, he would be running to his left in a hurry.

It wasn't negative, it was an observation. You can brand it any way you like of course, but still doesn't alter the fact or the observation. Look at the film and discuss the fine detail of football, or go around with wise cracks and put it in the "negative" category. Your choice of course.
