Question: So I must ask, who do you think will win it all?

Texas over Clemson
Penn State over SMU
Indiana over Notre Dame

SECOND ROUND
Tennessee over Oregon
Texas over Arizona St
Boise St over Penn St - anyone who trusts James Franklin is a tool
Georgia over Indiana

THIRD ROUND
Texas over Tennessee
Georgia over Boise State

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Texas over Georgia
man would it be painful to beat a team twice already and watch them win the national title

Boise or SMU, of curse course. No wait, I was thinking in terms of inclusion for parity's sake. I will go with old style of top two for FBS CG. Oregon or Georgia.

I think Arizona St is the winner here! Not the championship, but just for recognition. If not for the idiocy of the 12 team playoff format, they would be hid away in obscurity.

IMO, Sark is a decent-good coach but very overrated. To this point UT has been powered primarily by its underrated D not its overrated O.
Sark’s not overrated, he has a fantastic offensive mind, one of the best…but you’re 💯 correct on the
O/ D flip carrying the team…

I dont know just how amazing his offensive mind is. He gets a lot of credit for blowing up the stat lines against inferior opponents.

15 points against Georgia
27 against vanderbilt
20 against arkansas
17 vs TAMU
16 against Georgia (regulation)

7 teams scored more on Georgia than Texas did
8 teams scored the same or more on TAMU than Texas did

To top that off, Texas has superior talent. Sark got huge praise all year for how great his offense is when they are 4th in the SEC in PPG while playing a much easier schedule all things considered.

I would have taken him back in a heartbeat and I’m not alone in that…his creativity is crazy good…tell me you honestly think Bobo is better?

It was a close game with Texas-Georgia and Kirby obviously had a great defensive plan. Was it me or did Sark appear to be "off his game". Offensive play calling appeared to have Ewers holding the ball way too long against the Georgia rush. The only slant I recall from Texas went for a long touchdown but they did not apppear to get back to it down the stretch. Texas will need to improve offensively to win it all.
Sark is usually “off his game” - he is OK but very overrated IMO.

Btw, I was very much for him as Bama’s OC, though many Bama fans did not want him. I liked that he had a good passing game but he understood that a solid run game was required for the most effective offense.

Ironically, I thought he did a bad job of replacing Kiffin in the Clemson game by abandoning the run game when Bo got hurt even though he had an avg passing game. Hurts got all of the blame though his WRs, especially Dieter, dropped multiple passes that would have resulted in first downs. So, IMO, in order, the loss was primarily on Kiffin, Sarkisian, receivers/QB.

In no way shape or form do I believe that Bobo is better

but points wise and on a stat book, Bobo and his awful offense have performed pretty on par with Texas and that offense is supposed to be superior. Texas has a lot of flash, and no bite

This year at least, I truly do not understand all the praise that the Texas offense is getting.

Beck doesnt have near the receivers that Texas has, and he has Bobo calling plays.Yet somehow he has more yards per attempt and yards per game

Ewers missed 2 games, but still has 800 less yards than beck.

I think UGA is better than Texas, and I think Kirby is better than Sark, though it's close.

But if folks think winning a SECOND TIME over a team is tough, imagine a THIRD time.

Not what I want, but Texas's window will be closing a tiny bit next year per my Longhorn bud. For them, it's this year or they won't win one for 2-3 years.

Same with Oregon.

Sark has been off this year.

But it is also true that Mac Jones/Najee Harris/Jaylen Waddle/DeVonte Smith plus an OL led by Landon Dickerson is one of the most staggering collections of offensive talent that's been assembled. Sark benefitted massively from that.
College Football Nerds discussed this topic last week in their SECCG preview. Basically, a lot of what Sark does is take advantage of mismatches with man-to-man coverage but now most every defense runs mostly zone coverage.
