Spring Football - 2025

Thanks Moon. Been waiting for this thread a looooooooooooooong time.
Yeah, I'm pretty excited too.

It feels a little more optimistic knowing we get a fresh start offensively with a new OC that can work CKD's system.

Then there's the added excitement of a new, but veteran QB who is heading the pack and watching to see how the new freshman phenom comes along and what ground he covers the spring.

Add that to a solid D that should only get better and there's a lot to watch for!

I think we are all excited about not being hamstrung by a certain player coming back at a certain position detrimental to offensive production. That and the addition of a new OC really has me pumped.

I want our QB's and OL to develop this offseason. I don't have any concerns about the defense, I think it will be just fine. I'm just tired of underdeveloped QB rooms and underdeveloped offensive lines. It's been a five-year problem.
As a Commanders fan it hurts every time I see that Eagles OL with Jeff Stoutland as their OL coach. Miss that guy at Alabama and also wish he wasn't in Philly

I hate to say it, but if we had Grubb last year, it wouldn't make a big difference to the offense due to the said player mentioned.

On the OL the absolute whiffs by the tackles that tended to happen against the better teams just cannot happen. I know the former QB takes his share of blame but there were times he was being hit 2 seconds after he got the snap. If you get beat that badly just tackle the guy and take the penalty. It would be better than having a QB with a concussion. Plus it's been a while since one of the OL just had this nasty disposition that infected the rest.

Our offensive tackles have got to improve. Procter has got to get his weight down OR feet moving faster. The SEC speed rushers coming off the end are not getting slower!

Related, a QB with good, fundamental footwork can step up in the pocket to cover for a good outside rush.

Hopefully both the QB and OLT are much better this year!!!
