Sorry to kick our rival while they're down (or maybe I'm not lol) but ouch. Also saw another tweet where they tried to offer Beniquez Brown at 5am. Sure seems kind of late to be offering a player at 5am.

I cannot help but laugh. It's bad enough having Bama sandwich your national championship, but like he said, it's like they never won.

btw, Brown will do well at MSU. Trae is a great pick up for Ole Miss.

during the Shula years, Brown and Elston would have been 'must get' in-state prospects. heck, Bama would have been fighting with auburn for their commitment!!

happy for them and even happier they didn't go to the barn!! :wink:
 
ITAT has been in meltdown mode all morning. That site is probably not the best AU site to get a barometer of their feelings, but it's got to be the most entertaining. :biggrin:

That is so funny and so wrong all at the same time.

It would have been different if the Barn class had filled up and only had one or two remaining spots (kinda like Bama) but the Barn was either so full of themselves and thought it would be a landslide victory with every recruit they "thought they were in it with" or they just thought that this guy wouldn't be insulted with an offer at 5:00 a.m. on NSD.

This is kinda off subject. But I saw part of an interview with Cammy Cam on ESPN last night, and the lady asked if he ever talked with his father about the allegations. He said no and then started laughing. He said they actually joke about it. Like "where is all the money. We looking in our bank accounts."

According to them, all their recruiting problems are the result of vicious negative recruiting tactics. The fact that their defense sucked and that that they still don't know what kind of offense they're going to run had no impact whatsoever.
 
A friend of mine who is an Auburn alum posted on his Facebook the other day something along the lines of "people shouldn't get too upset about where an 18 year old kid sends a fax". I guess he saw it coming. My how the haughty have fallen. I can't wait to see what the final list looks like. Are they going to start making runs at kids set to sign with Troy or UAB just to fill up their class?
 
Let's put this in perspective. If you were a recruit and a school who wins a championship every 52 years and the last one was in 2010 (still suspect) then it would be the recruits kids/grandkids who might think about going to AU. Why would these recruits waste their time?
 
the auburn spin machine is already at work.

the boogers are convincing themselves that "they are filling positions of need" line. :rolleye2:
