Terry Grant Update

I figured there would be controversy over me saying Favre was the best QB ever instead of Rice being the best WR ever. I just assumed everyone thought Rice was the best ever.

Either way I don't think you can collectively find a better trio from any other state.

And yes, as for the RB I was talking about Mr. Payton.

I am just not a big SF fan. ;) I will give it to you about not finding a better trio. Funny that two of them played at small colleges and the other at Southern Miss what does that say about Ole Miss and MSU?

I have to say I've never seen a writer stoop to such a level about one kid. What happened to all this stuff about unbiased reporting, They don't allow anyone to clap or cheer in the press box in Alabama but they allow grovelling and begging by the media in Mississippi?

As another said If I were that kid his article would only confirm I should go somewhere else. and If I were a So Miss player I'd be pretty steamed that this jerk thinks the ones there are such chopped liver.
 
The timing and place of Terry Grant's announcement are uncertain. It could be any time now until NSD.

Recruiters making final push
The battle continues for the affection of the state's top running back, Lumber-ton's Terry Grant. The new feeling is that USM and Alabama are the front-runners, but Grant left for a trip to Memphis on Friday.

It was believed that Grant would make a decision on Monday, but there is a strong chance that he will wait until Wednesday at the earliest to announce his selection.

This is just another example of why I love this site. I was here minutes ago and saw nothing about this. I ventured over to Rivals and Bamamag and saw the teaser thread on Bamamag. By the time I log back into Tidefans to see what I can find out, here it is!

That's great news. I would love to see a nice strong finish including this young man.
 
I know the colors aren't the same, but has anyone else noticed that Lumberton High's helmets look exactly like the Southern Miss helmet?
Hope its not an omen of things to come :(
 
The only reason that I can imagine Grant going to USM is that we are very deep at rb. I hope that he is conident enough to come in and compete. I surely think that he will have plent of opportunity.
 
Terry Grant is a breath of fresh air

"I want to play for a place that makes me feel loved"- isnt that wonderful compared to the attitude of other recruits. I hope we get this guy. He sounds like a wonderful addition, like a guy that would put the team before himself. This attitude is what is needed to win championships.

I believe we might get him,b/c thats about what Talbert had to say about T- town. Let's cross our fingers :cool:

I find it hard to read this guy. I feel he really wants to come to Alabama but the pressure to leave is heating up. Southern Miss fans feel this guy is the best to come out of their area in years. It is a bit like the Tebow mania by alot of 'Bama fans, only this guy is right down the road from Hattiesburg. In the end I feel he'll choose Alabama, but the pressure to stay at USM is hard on the young man. I hope we see no bashing of his choice by either fans bases. But I would not fathom that from true Alabama fans.
