Disclaimer: We would've got beaten, regardless of the calls, BUT...

It would've been nice to see Freddie Roach'***** on Kenny Irons to knock the ball out at the goalline go our way. (7 points)

It would've been nice to see us get credit for a safety we deserved. (2 points and momentum)

BUT, we still wouldn't have won.

Don't forget when Darby got in the endzone but they said he didn't, that was 4 points because we ended up kicking a field goal,

so add them up, 2, 7, 4

13 points we had taken away from us:

24-21 final score, we win.

Yeah, not that it would have made any difference but that fumble looked pretty apparent from the one shot where the camara was right on the goal line. Since they reviewed it, what did they see that I didn't?

Inconclusive video evidence.

Bamaro,

I agree with you. However the Play on the field stands unless the video replay shows conclusive evidence that the ball came out before it crossed the plane of the goal. However, the video replay official was looking for a camera angle that showed the ball crossing. They did not take "ALL" evidence into account. They were too busy looking at the ball and said " oh well , I can't find a good camera angle to see the ball. But you could see Freddie Roach and that his helment, which by the way caused the fumble, was in front of the goal in the field of play when making contact. Thus it was a fumble and a BAMA recovery. Just, As per usual, when playing in aubarn we suffer from lack of calls.

How in the world do they not at least review the play on the no-call safety. As bad as the offense was today, I don't think it would have made a difference in the end but that to me was inexcusible by the refs. Of course that's what pretty much par for the course for SEC refs

Actually, if they take away the 7 from Auburn, because of the fumble, the it would have been 24-14.

:D

The fumble was just too hard to tell, no biggie there. That was a safety though no doubt. It would have changed momentum but it wouldnt have won the game for us, we lost that when we decided not to block and give up what 11 sacks? It was good to see JPW get in and have a nice drive. Did he look good or what?

We cannot blame anything on officials. Yes the no call on safety was bad but we just got whipped today. Auburn came out ready to play and we where flat, looked like we where still felling efects from lsu?

Powerlineman, you called it right from my perspective. We lost this game in the trenches. Brodie has proven that he can get it done if given time to find open receivers. It did not happen today.

A couple of calls that could have gone either way would not have made the difference for the Tide today. Got to hand it to Auburn; they kept us out of sync on offense all day. Man, I hate to admit that.

I watched the '85 Iron Bowl the other day, and the officiating was dramatically skewed towards Auburn. Of course Tiffin kicked the field goal, we won, and the rest is history. . .

Just wanted to point out how crappy the officiating was in that game.

I don't think anyone here would argue that we lost because of the officials. That would be ridiculous.

However, the point is that the game did continue to provide evidence that the SEC as a whole has the most inept officials in all of CFB.
