First: This is Glenn dumpster the sequel. To me it is clear that Daryl is not dead. Plus Dwight saying after the screen went black, "you'll be alright" pretty much confirms this.
Second: I agree with a blogger in that with Negan haunting the area, the survivors heading out of alexandria in separate parties while leaving the community defenseless is pretty much the dumbest thing ever. I don't get why rick is chasing carol who clearly does not want to be there.
Third: as amusing as dixon's vixen (today I learn that is an actual thing, who knew?)losing their minds of Reedus potential exit, but can we- and by we I mean social media- stop referring to Norman Reedus' fans as Walking Dead fans because they are not because as soon as he leaves they are gone. I am tired of his fans complaining about the show potentially killing his character and would riot if they do. Norman Reedus fans are not Walking Dead fans. Argh.
Fourth: rant aside, I think the most cntreversial, the most vile and the least humanizing thing they could for Negan,'to make his debut "special", "unsettling", and "game changing" ('words I have heard to describe the finale)is to have him beat Maggie to death. I know this would be contreversial and obviously they can't show a pregnant Maggie getting beat down, but there would be no coming back, no chance at ever making him a water down version of us comic book counter part. He would be the shows first true villain, a character that would scare even the most battle tested member of ricks group. We would finally see a scenario in which we don't know if Rick can lead his group has it of danger.
