Not necessarily. Mac Jones was here 5 and was drafted high. But I am afraid those days may be over.
Mac had to wait on Hurts and Tua before getting his shot. I was just saying Mack has 4 years eligibility. If he is NFL material, then he might only play 2 years. That would be 3 years at the collegiate level, and eligible for the draft.

I'll believe it when I see it...🙄

Oh I’m the same way but other than oil money schools, other schools will eventually give up trying to compete with the Texas and Texas A&M’s of the world. Like some of these early enrollees can take millions, never play a down, transfer out, and take another million from the next suckers 😂

If these collectives and boosters are so brazen as to tamper with player during the season, outside of the portal period or even before they enter the portal, then when are we going to hear about a player(s) taking money funneled through a collective by a influential booster to “tank” during a game? I can see it.

It's truly the Wild, Wild West....😖

Who would those brazen ones be wary of, because they know the nzaa is not going to bedo anything about it.🙄

Snuffy here are the details of the FSU probation. Remember as well that FSU gave $85 million contract extension to Norvell the day AFTER the probation was announced.

We all know NIL is not suppose to be used as an incentive to attend or transfer to a program. But it clearly is. These kids coming in all have agents or handlers now. As long as coaches/universities can offer plausible deniability, they are in the clear. We know that every program (including ours) is giving the collective a “target” list of HS recruits and transfers to “go after”.

So 5 scholarships lost & 2 years probation, but no mention of post season ban. Not much teeth in that.

I agree 100% and if true about proctor which seems highly likely, is the NCAA going to go in and really punish these kids and programs by not let these kids go to the schools who tampered because short of that… it will be worse than Will Smith’s acting in the Wild Wild West 😂 C48A7BEE-4471-4F52-BC5A-BE7B6A8BD9C8.gif

It is probably already happening

Well the school would have to be dumb enough to send the offer to the kid in some sort of recordable media. Then the kid would have to be dumb enough to share that evidence and be declared ineligible.
I have no doubt that there is some tampering going on with this portal stuff

How do you not call it tampering when you have coaches coming into Tuscaloosa vulturizing our recruits?

Now we can see if it was coaching or talent related...
It is completely different system and scheme so I don’t think you can really compare. Iowa runs a run first offense with tight formation tight ends that are blockers. We will run a more spread offense with wider splits at offensive line. Proctors a very big guy with not great foot speed and foot work. I don’t think he was really a good fit for our offense and the speed of defense in the SEC. I expect to see him play better just for those reason just alone. Systems and schemes make a huge difference in some players that have great ability but clear limitations just like I think Milroe will in this scheme Grubb runs.
