Yeah, I looked at it and that outgoing list is a whole lot longer than the incoming list.
Some people put way too much emphasis on the star ratings. Some seem to think that if a player isn't a 4* or 5* Bama shouldn't consider them. Coach Bryant said he couldn't define a winning player but he knew one when he saw them. We need to trust the coaches in their evaluations.Once a player is in their second year of college football their HS rankings (IMO) are completely irrelevant. Those rankings are for current status coming out of HS, it's accuracy for future status is very loosely translated and many times are inaccurate. There are a lot of four and five-star players that once they get into their college career do not live up to the hype of their ranking. It doesn't mean they "sucked" or had a bad career, but they didn't make the impact their HS recruiting profile projected.

I remember when Bama signed Javier Arenas some people were upset because they had never heard of him and he wasn't highly ranked. At first, I felt the same way. I watched his high school film and thought this guy can play. He turned out alright. Years ago, Southern Miss had some very good teams with some outstanding players. I wondered why some of them had not gone to Bama. In most cases, Bama didn't want them. They were underweight, not tall enough, and not highly rated, but the So. Miss coaches saw potential and developed it. The ratings can be beneficial in evaluating players, but they don't tell the whole story. Each year there are players who are 5* who never pan out. We need to trust the coaches and their evaluations.
well, the new scheme runs a 5th DB just as much as Saban did. I think it might have something to do with Red Morgan stepping up and getting reps ahead of Woodyard as a change in system.
Tacario Davis, a very good DB at Arizona entered the portal back in January. He went through spring practice and is still on the team but has not withdrawn from the portal. It just seems odd. Has anyone heard any more info on him?

Agreed. On3 now puts the HS ranking and the transfer portal ranking. Some go up, some go down and some stay the same. For example, Proctor was a 5* on both and Brockermeyer was a 4* in HS and a 3* in the portal.
Also the portal closes tomorrow at midnight.
It does close today but if I'm not mistaken if you are already in the portal you can commit at any time before the summer semester.

Yeah, players probably enter the portal at this point to keep their options open...🙄
All he needs to do is look at Terrion Arnold and Kool-Aid. If he puts in the work and does what he needs to do he will be rewarded. Unfortunately, some players don't get it. They want to take short cuts and usually end up short circuiting their career. That is odd and no. But I'm certain we will be looking at a corner or maybe a safety. Depending on where they project Harmon to play.
We could go after McClain but teams have seemed to steer clear of him so far
If he won’t straighten out enough to listen to a black head coach who has been everywhere and is everything he wants to be on an NFL football field, what in the world makes you think he will listen to anyone else? All he needs to do is look at Terrion Arnold and Kool-Aid.
