Trash Talking

I watched the GA-FLA game Saturday with several friends who are huge Bulldog fans. All were embarassed by the trash talking antics of both teams. I held my tongue as long as I could but half way through the 3rd quarter I asked them to watch closely during the Bama game and count the number of times they saw a Bama player talking trash to a Miss St player. It's now Monday afternoon and none have called me back with a number. I'm proud of our team and the way they go about their business. No trash talk just superior play on the field. Roll Tide!

I always could count on Dre keeping his mouth shut and never talking trash. He was the best non-trash talker on Bama's team.

as much as Coach Saban goes off over an offsides or false start on a player would you really want to go to the sideline and explain just what you were thinking when you got flagged for a 15 yd. penalty for running your mouth??

There's usually a little jawing during the Lsu game but absolutely nothing like what went on in the jawga and florida game. We won't be flagged for it that's for sure

The next time a Bama player gets flagged won't be the first nor the last time under CNS.

I remember a few years ago, I think it was against Ole Miss, after getting sacked, GMac has a defender in his face. He looked the guy right in the eyes and pointed to the scoreboard. We had a convincing lead. That's all the trash talking we need to see.

It became a huge part of the game Ga/Fl & clearly the coaches could not handle it.

We have players that have done their share but CNS knows how to reel it in.

Most are just kids.

I don't mind the trash talking so much but it was clear the officials in the UF/UGA game had had enough. What was noticeable to me was the fact that the UGA players couldn't reel it in. Really speaks to their discipline if you ask me which always seems to be a problem under CMR.

There wa san rticle in the paper the other day about some player from UAB. It said he liked to trash talk. I think if some guy from a loser program like that trash talked me, I'd laugh in his face.

I think that was Jpw vs arky. Later that year he did get flagged vs Lu's for "taunting" the Lu's crowd with a "call me" hand signal

Ha, yeah. That was my first immediate thought when I saw this thread title. While we definitely don't have nearly as many as Florida and Georgia (particularly when they play one another), it is safe to say that we have had some trash-talkers of our own, with Kirkpatrick at the top of the leaderboard.
