BREAKING Ty Declaring for NFL Draft

Didn’t see this posted yet but in this day age of instant gratification and the portal, how can you not love the way Ty did things. True class act that was Bama through and through.

“You just are Alabama or you’re not”
- Ty Simpson

I was already a big Ty fan. This video makes me moreso, especially in this day and age where players bolt just because, well, because. Reminds me of the guys who were playing 'back in the day'. Ty's another guy who just has too much 'Bama in him.

Stupid onions...

I hate to see him go and wish we’d had more time with him at the helm.

But going forward, QB rooms are not going to be crowded ANYWHERE, ANYMORE. Those days are over. Look around. Some of our competitors’ depth ends at QB1, and even that isn’t quality. We have Mack and Russell, we have an early enrollee in MaxPreps All American Jett Thomalla, and 2027 QB Trent Seaborn is committed and Roll Tide through and through, like Ty.

We are in good shape.

Teams in the mid-to-late first round with quarterback needs could elevate Simpson's draft position, a dynamic that we see nearly every draft cycle. Franchises worth watching at that part of the draft are the Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Rams and Cleveland Browns, who have the Jacksonville Jaguars' first-round pick by virtue of the draft-day trade they made last April. The Rams are a particularly intriguing fit, as Matthew Stafford's presence would allow Simpson to sit and learn for at least a year before being thrust into a starting situation.

Ty’s career should have been so much better than it was. He absolutely got screwed by the system and was the best QB we had for three years. I’m happy he’s getting a chance at the next level.

If he actually goes in the Top 15 of Round 1 he will sign a Monster Contract.

He’s been through more adversity than I can remember for one our QBs so I hope he at least gets that Huge Payday.

Why would the Browns draft another QB? Don't they have the greatest QB to ever put on cleats, Sheduer Sanders? If you don't think he is the greatest ever just ask him.
The Browns fans didn't ask for Sanders. You need to talk to the idiot owner who made the GM draft him.

Maybe that will help you understand, because it sure sounds like you need some help on this subject.

A

Maybe. But Austin Mack is who replaced Ty when he got hurt against Indy. Mack is next, unless that changes by September. Or they bring in a hotshot through the portal.
It's not that simple, IMO.

This will be debated a plenty between now and next spring.

But it's not as simple as who was #2 in relief in a blowout game to end the season.

Pecking order matters until it doesn't. And I'm not saying it won't be Mack (if he stays), but there may be a lot of reasons Russell will be our QB next fall, even with some growing lumps and bumps.

Wishing him well and I thank Ty for sticking around in an era where he could’ve easily went somewhere else, teams will take note of that.

My preferred spot is the Rams, not sure he’s a Day 1 starter yet and the Rams need to start drafting their Stafford replacement and learning from him and McVay is perfect.
I hate the Rams, bud. I was a big Rams guy in the 90s when I lived in St. Louis during the Greatest Show on Turf. But the way that Kronke took over the team after Georgia died and the way he pooped on St. Louis on his way out made me a forever hater. Like, Tennessee level hate.

I don't like the Rams either, but I like Ty. I want him to go to a good/decent team. The Rams are one of the few teams that needs a QB, but is not desperate for one. Do you want him going to the Jets? The Raiders? The terrible Dolphins? Cardinals?

He go to worse places

Pittsburgh is a place that has been snake bitten by not being low enough to select a franchise quarterback. Pickett was basically forced on them by the fans, but pretty much every quarterback on roster was a guy that they never really thought would be the guy.

So Ty going there has alot of upside
