UAB coaching change

It's good that WB is AD now. He wasn't a good coach, but he did a lot for UAB and should be treated as such. However, I was hoping Sullivan would got to Samford and someone else would take over. Oh well.

I think this move showed quite the lack of vision...what does Sullivan bring that is radically different or improved over W. Brown?

Word is that everyone's favorite trustee, PBJr., quashed any attempt at trying to find a "big" (as big as they could get) name coach such as Rick Neuheisel or similar.

Nah Nah Nah that is not good,UAB has the sudents that are excellent. Don't knock something you know nothing about.

We were talking about their athletics. And I do know a few things about UAB. Their graduate programs are very good or at least they get a lot of research money, but as far as the quality of student is concerned, it's really about the same. Both schools have a group that really excel, a bunch in the middle, and some that shouldn't even be in college.

i was listening to the radio yesterday and they said Sullivan was the new coach at UAB...and then i read the 'Sullivan new coach at Samford' headline this morning....does ANYONE in the media know ANYTHING?? they don't let any kind of facts stand in their way of reporting do they?

bunch of idiots...

From what I understand, 11th hour negotiations with UAB broke down.

Good grief...

1. It was a joke.
2. I lived in Birmingham for well over a decade and was a campus minister at a church that had a number of UAB students
3. I know about six guys who currently play for the Blazers - they're the ones who tell me about the rather sad state of affairs they have at their home games. These guys had more fans at their HS games than they do at UAB.
