UGA Blackout

this whole blackout thing is something i do not agree with. these black jerseys need to be discarded and not brought out again. myself and family will definitely be wearing traditional red home shirts/jerseys. with all due respect to alabama looking back over the recent history of these matchups with bama we have not needed black jerseys to get the job done.

Wear what you want bud. Tell your UGA buddies not us. LOL, better have enjoyed your REAL RECENT success (while we were crippled by probation) cause those days are coming to an end. Oh yeah.... with all due respect. :)

Was that an underhanded slap or what?

There certainly seems to be a slice of their fan base who are really arrogant. I don't look at a lot of their sites, but I haven't seen a lot of it. Those kind of fans are the ones who leave in the third quarter...

I talked to a UGA fan today and she has a lot of class. I also ran into a UGA fan that reminded me of a BARNER fan... guess all teams have a barner fan. But the lady with class told me today that the black is cool she was at the UGA and BArner game last year and said it had a lot of energey and it was amazing.. But she stated to me that she dont think the Black out is going to do anything for this BAMA team she is worried. Like I told her its going to be a nail biter for both teams.. I hope BAMA comes out on top just to shut out the newly formed tradition of the black jerseys... As far as the guy I ran into today thinks that Moreno is going to run over MT CODY and me and another guy just looked at him and laughed he seems to think moreno will run up the middle on this BAMA defense..On that note just hope BAMA pulls the upset. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!:BigA:

Try living in the state of Georgia and you will quickly see that the majority of their fans are just as bad, if not worse than Auburn.

I'll second that. The bad thing is Bama has done as much in the last 25 years as they have, but they'd never admit that. They just walk around with a big head until they lose to the likes of Vandy which a Bama team on probation somehow managed not to do.

I was 8 years old back in 1980.
Did something glorious happen that year or something?

He also wasn't sweating that the Bulldogs are donning black jerseys for the game, something they did in last season's routs of Auburn and, in the Sugar Bowl, Hawaii.
"Those kinds of things, they only mean something if you let them mean something," Saban said. "It's like the old Notre Dame example, when they wear the green jerseys you're not supposed to beat them. If the Gipper talks to them on Friday night, then you're not supposed to win that game. When Touchdown Jesus is up there, you're not supposed to be able to win that game.
"If all that does mean something to you, then I guess it's a problem. But it really doesn't. They have good football players. That's what we're concerned about. We're not really concerned about how they're dressed or what their uniform might be."
So was his decision to wear a black polo shirt to his Monday news conference a statement? "It's the only shirt I could find when I got up this morning," Saban said with a grin.

I like what Saban said at the end!!!! ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!

I'm not worried about the color of their jerseys, but I am worried about the players inside those jerseys. They have two of the best skill players at two of the most important positions on the field in Moreno and Stafford. Our defense will see screens all day long if our young LBs don't show they can handle it. Do we have a chance? Of course but don't forget there is a reason they started off ranked #1 in the country, they have talent. Our team has looked good, maybe better than we thought, but we haven't faced the talent we will see on Saturday. I'll be wearing white and pulling for the good guys, but we do have a tough task ahead of us. Roll Tide and put an end to the Black Jersey tradition! :BigA:

Arrogant much?

Well, apparently ya'll think you need it saturday, so suit yourself. Maybe Markie can run the entire team out there too, if you manage to score.

Georgia can't hide behind black jerseys, and they are not gonna make the dawgs any faster or stronger. It almost most sounds like a lack of confidence being displayed by the Georgia seniors. Red, black...it don't matter...but i wish they would come out wearing orange jerseys.:BigA:

What scares me is they're going to come out of the gates ON FIRE and I don't think we'll be able to match their intensity at first, and let's hope they don't jump off to an early lead. Our first priority should be to take the crowd out of the game ASAP.

True, BUT, that emotion could lead to some early false starts, puting them in bad field position and maybe giving us an early 3 (or 7). Remember, the glass is always half full!
