UGA Blackout

Vandy has worn all-black before when they played big games.

I'm not sure that the black jersey will make things easier on Wilson. It makes our receivers stand out a bit better, but it also might make their defensive backs blend into the background better. That could cause him to throw more picks.

Considering how special the black jerseys are for the Dawgs, this is something of a compliment to Alabama... I'm sad to see they're coming into the game with respect, cause I was really hoping they'd underestimate us.

Let them wear their black and paint their faces black, and whatever else they want to pull out of the voodoo handbook. If their OL doesn't inprove...they won't rush for 75 yds. If we can get pressure on MS and our secondary keeps improving every week, we have a better than average chance. Unlike this week, we will have to maintain long drives and finish. The best defense of MS is to keep his ..... on the sideline. Their pass defense is suspect as well. JPW is gonna have to step up, although I know he hasn't had to thus far.:BigA:

The way Georgia did the "blackout" last year was much better. It was kind of like a rumor going into that particular game. The players warmed up in regular jerseys and then ran out of the tunnel in black. I don't think you get the same effect when you announce it a week before.

It won't be a distraction to our team, because we know it's coming. I actually think it works in our favor. We'll see.

Why thanks Georgia for the compliment of thinking we are so powerful you need to ware your special jerseys to play us. It just goes to show you they know Alabama is relevant again. You think they would save it for playing Florida and Tennessee. This actually could backfire on them. Their players might think they are the underdogs, and Alabama could gain the confidence they needed to perform against them. Personally I would save the jerseys for games when my team is the underdog.

I think this is bad news for us.

Blackout will give Georgia an advantage. Black is harder to see and blends better then other colors making it hard to pick out a running back behind linemen.

the blackout also gives them some more excitement and charisma for this game.

Do yall think the black gives them an advantage over other colors?

I hope our players use it as motivation. Sort of a "They think if they put on the black jerseys they will automatically win, we need to go out and prove them wrong" kind of thing.

I talked to a UGA fan today and she has a lot of class. I also ran into a UGA fan that reminded me of a BARNER fan... guess all teams have a barner fan. But the lady with class told me today that the black is cool she was at the UGA and BArner game last year and said it had a lot of energey and it was amazing.. But she stated to me that she dont think the Black out is going to do anything for this BAMA team she is worried. Like I told her its going to be a nail biter for both teams.. I hope BAMA comes out on top just to shut out the newly formed tradition of the black jerseys... As far as the guy I ran into today thinks that Moreno is going to run over MT CODY and me and another guy just looked at him and laughed he seems to think moreno will run up the middle on this BAMA defense..On that note just hope BAMA pulls the upset. this whole blackout thing is something i do not agree with. these black jerseys need to be discarded and not brought out again. myself and family will definitely be wearing traditional red home shirts/jerseys. with all due respect to alabama looking back over the recent history of these matchups with bama we have not needed black jerseys to get the job done.
