Just when I think I'm out. Your revision is as far off as my post was using your logic, it is hard to fit everything in a 2x2 matrix I know, but Harvard loves those things.

I'm going to bet that a lot of High character goes are not really happy about having to do community service. Next I do not think a couple of days is going to change a Low Characters mindset.

So lets play the games by your rules.

High Character signs up to learn football, already does good in school. Now gets to learn (gasp!) picking up trash and going to school. Good thing he signed up for football. I would be willing to be come game day character will not mean crap when it comes to PT. Ray Lewis approves this message.

I agree because it is before, during the punishment; on the flip side would you agree that it also ignores regression from those we were already high character guys?

Make sure that you blame the editors, as they are the ones that dictate the headlines. The reporter always gets blamed, even though they play no role it that decision.

The reporter's job is to report. The editor's job is to increase circulation. Sensationalism works.

(Also actually reading the article works. Not sure this part belongs in blue.)

Watching the tide roll north of T-Town
My son who is 9 years old fall baseball team was told to run laps because the 3rd baseman missed a pop fly. I pulled my son off the field and told the coach he would not run. I was a assist coach on this team and still am. My point was 9 years old is to young to make run, it's just a game and last my son didn't miss it he will not run because of someone us. I'm sorry but that's dumb should your child go to jail cause his classmate did something wrong?
I understand team but this is 2013 get in the real world its me me and it will always be. The team doesn't go pro when one player is good only the player does......

Watch it with that logic stuff. We are a capitalistic society except when it comes to sports team punishment. :)

My son has complained when his wrestling coach makes everybody run wind sprints because one person did something stupid and how he is ticked off at the one being stupid.

I don't have a problem with group punishment for one or two people misbehaving. I just think more was made of this than needed to be. If the coach had said everyone has to do such and such because of the cyberbullying and that they will be off the team if they don't, it would not have gotten near the publicity.

Really? Seriously?

Think about what you're teaching your kid in this situation. Regardless of the reason for the laps, the rest of the team is running while your kid stands to the side because Daddy rescued him. What do you think will happen the next time that coach tries to tell your kid to do something he doesn't want to do? What do you think the rest of the team thinks about your son? You are doing your child no favors.

I found myself hoping that he stopped the laps for everyone, otherwise you are exactly correct.
