I ended my love affair with a car as transport around 11+ years ago. I've had a car for few months here or there, and I share a car with my family. But, overall any time I can, I use a bicycle a means of transport, means of exercise, and means of blowing off steam. It's worked wonders for me, as I weigh the same as I did 25 years ago, and while I'm no spring chicken, I can still hang with most of the 20 and 30 year olds.
