What is the coldest game you've ever been to?

I'd have to go with the 2006 Big 12 Title Game in Kansas City. It was OU/NU so it was a bit fitting. High that day was 34 and it was in the 20s the entire game. Snow all around the seats.

After that I'd have to go with the 1992 SECCG, 2000 Iron Bowl, 1998 Music City Bowl. 2009 South Carolina was pretty cold as well. I don't remember how truly cold it was for the 1990 Cincy game (my first season for games and I was 7), but I remember being so cold and pretty high up in the endzone with a breeze.

On the flip side, the hottest has to be my first game as a student at OU. 8/25/01 against UNC. High of 100 that day with an afternoon kickoff. Upper-mid 90's for much of first half. Storms near the end of the game. That's Oklahoma for you.

Coldest game by far for me was the 2000 Iron Bowl. It was not only cold, but wet...sleet mixed with rain, and it was awful. When you get cold it's bad, but when you get cold and wet it's just horrible.

What WOULD have been the coldest game, as someone already mentioned was the '82 game between the Bengals and the Chargers in Cincy. My uncle lived there and was a season ticket holder, and had tickets to the game. I was there right after the holidays to go to the game with him, but we both agreed it was too cold (-59 degrees wind chill) and gave the tickets to his neighbor who went. His neighbor was upset with him for weeks afterwards, said he nearly froze.

Went to a USM game in the 90's that we won 40-0. After we scored early in the second half, most everyone left.

Also was at the SEC game in 1992- only took 4 rolls of film. froze my tail off!

Can't remember the year but we played the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers I think in New Jersey in a blowing snow storm and they like to have beat us. Colder than a witches kitty.

The 2000 Iron Bowl, without a doubt. We left at halftime because of the weather. I had a very strong feeling that our offense wouldn't be able to overcome the 3-0 deficit and I was absolutely right. I sure am glad the DuBose era is way behind us! Never been that cold before in my life.

That 2000 game was pretty miserable; but mostly due to the way that season had played out.

The 76 and 82 Liberty Bowls were awfully cold.

But the 83 Liberty Bowl between Notre Dame and Boston College was the absolute coldest game I've ever been to. It sleeted and snowed for about 24 hrs leading up to the game; and, of course, being in Memphis, they didn't have the resources to do anything about the inch of ice that accumulated/froze to the seats. The temperature was 14 and if I remember correctly, the wind chill was about -10.

Outside of getting to see Doug Flutie and Napolean McCallum play, that was a miserably cold game. I think the fans spent more time in the bathrooms (which were heated) than watching the game.

The coldest game I ever went to was not a Bama football game. It was a softball tournament in St. Louis. My daughter played for UAH and the coach scheduled the team to play in a tournament there in February....wind child was 13 degrees...broken aluminum bats everywhere. We won the tournament btw.

:)1993 CHAMPIONSHIP GAME at Braly stadium in Florence,Al. It featured UNA and I think the opponent was Pittsburgh st. Kickoff was at 1p:m and the temp was 10 degrees with a wind chill of -6! That was the coldest I've been......EVER! BTW,we left at half, went to bar in Sheffield, watched on big screen(projection type) and drank coffee with Bailey's! Oh! and UNA won!

Arkansas at South Carolina a few years ago. Got some hot chocolate, and by the time I got back to my seat it was cold.

Music City Bowl vs Va. Tech, 1998 I believe. Drove up to Nashville day of game, weather forecasted lows in 60's for the night game. Cold front came in fast right at kickoff, temps dropped to high 30's with HOWLING winds, sleet, rain. Was dressed unprepared and froze my arse off big time. Getting smacked by Tech was slalt in wound...and Sh. Alexander dropping a sure TD pass that would have changed tempo.

The Liberty Bowl vs UCLA is my answer also. The coldest I've ever been in my life.

36-6 or some score like that. We put on all the clothes we brought and took a couple blankets to cover with.

I agree with this one, and so did someone else very important. A few years after the game my family had the honor to meet Coach Bryant at a function in Fordyce and when we mentioned the game he said it was the coldest game he had ever been a part of.

I can tell you also that Barry Krause had a heck of a game that night.

2008 Miss. State/Bama game at BDS. We were up high in the nose bleed section (eagles have nests up there I think) and it was cold and drizzly. It was snowing up where we were and raining in the lower sections. I swear this is true.:)
