What is the latest on Jimbo Fisher?

This is going around tonight. In addition, expect Saerles to join Fisher in T-town, if Fisher chooses T-town; otherwise, Searles might be going to Georgia where he interviewed today.

haha! ME?? No way. I am on the record unequivocally stating that I hope Auburn loses every single game they ever play. And it would not upset me in the slightest should their stadium fall down in the middle of a game. I would not be opposed to the entire town being set ablaze.

Don't have a link or a quote, but it was said earlier that FSU has gotten Rick Trickett and signed him as the OL coach AND as the Assistant Head Coach. Would Trickett now be getting the inside track to the FSU head coach job and not Jimbo Fisher? I would expect this to be a bad thing for FSU and a good thing for us. Correct me if I am wrong about any of this.

wow. i think thats good news man. Rick Trickett is a wonderful coach, and has good head coach potential. I think the main reason Jimbo would have went there is because of the head coaching job.

FSU doesnt have a whole lot of offensive talent compared to us, or at least i didn't see it this year. We had flashes of brilliance, especially at wide reciever and at running back with jimmy johns all year.

I think this helps our chances with coach fisher. boy, this staff really is starting to get good. I can't wait for next year, and i can't wait to see our 2008 recruiting class.

IMO...Clements would be good. After all, he does coach QB`s at Green Bay and he coahes some dude named Favor, Faver, Farve or something like that. ;)

Most of those that are "in the know" will agree with this - Odds are that R.Trickett will never even get so much as an interview for any HC position in big time football - ever .

Drill Seargents don't often become Generals .

now I am hearing that Bama is offereing Jimbo some major money to go to the Capstone. Bama is turning into the New York Yankees.
 
really? that's not much more than Fisher makes at LSU. What I heard was that it was closer to 1 million, but 600,000 sounds more reasonable. Supposedly FSU offered him 800,000 to be OC. We shall see how this plays out.

Thanks for the complement! The Yankees very rarely have a bad season and are almost always in the hunt for a championship if not winning them.
