What is wrong? Nothing.

Back in June I looked at 11 specific "problems" in position and personnel. Today that number is down to 4-5. That's a very manageable number especially if that is cut by one or two in the next couple of weeks. Not a bad summers work.

I'm starting to come around to this thinking. Maybe add the white helmets and everything will be okey-dokey.

I resisted the appeal of the crimson pants for a long time, but I'm starting to agree that it might be just the ticket. Got to have the white shoes and these socks too:

Probably average 15 ypc in that get-up! :biggrin2:

LOL!, Maybe there is something to it afterall, I mean, I dont know if Ron Mcdonald can play, but if he's anything like his nemesis Burger King, we'll be scoring at will!

I love the socks they get a big thumbs up. Do long sleve t-shirts come in that same pattern? We would look uber cool.

And who says there is no such thing as a preseason in college football?? Whoever came up with this schedule (Hawaii, Vandy and La. Monroe to start off) is a genius. Sheer genius!! Hopefully, Alabama will work out some kinks this week and have that carry against Arky.

By the way ... where are all those people complaining about not playing a tough enough schedule???

I didn't notice those red striped socks earlier. I like 'em. Kenny Irons might mistake them for candy canes, however, and try to eat our players' legs off.

JPW has had good time to throw the ball. Much improved over last year, especially at the end of the year. This team has potential. This week vs. Louisiana Directional will be a tuneup for the upcoming games. I think the offense is looking good. We just need to clean up our mistakes and attack the endzone. The right side has just not found the right combo of players yet. Maybe the left side is so strong that the right side looks weak. I doubt very seriously that there is an Oline anywhere that has 2 good sides.
My only complaint is this: It seems like we play not to lose instead of playing to win. However, we are 2-0 and we won 10 games last year.

I would like to believe that, but right now that's just not the case. There was plenty of shuffling going on in the first two games to find the right players for that side in particular and the results haven't been very good. The simple truth of the matter is if those players on that side don't step up their play, that side of the line is going to continue to be a sore spot for the rest of the season. I am encouraged from what I'm seeing from the OL as a whole, but it's somewhat diminished by the struggles of that side. Hopefully the light will come on for those guys here soon and the OL as a whole can take that next step forward.
