I was watching the game on TV tonight and a few questions came to mind...
#1. Why is davis always out front and why is he not posted up under the basket.
#2 Where is the pressure? I realize that we were doing the 3/4 court press but only with one man. 1 pass beat that each time up the court for NC State.
#3 Why does davis inbound the ball after a made oponent basket and help bring the ball down rather than getting down court and getting position in the paint?
#4 Do we not practice free throws? All of our losses could be different if we were better from the line.

My Opinion....For what it is worth..
Davis and Davidson in the paint and set up. Always. After that we need to press, press, press and stay in the face of all outside shooters since we can not buy a 3 ball

Don't look...

for Davis in the low post. That's not CMG's offense. The "High Post" puts Davis at the FT line with his back to the basket, and that's where CMG wants him. On the pressure question, I'd say that we pressed as much as we could without NCS killing us in transition. All out pressure for very long won't work against a team that shoots and handles as well as they do. As for FT practice, most of our trouble right now is with Gee and Felix (that's general impression - I haven't looked at the boxes yet). Gee has frosh nerves and his mechanics do need work. Felix is another question mark. He doesn't even look like the same player as last year. He played much better off the bench, hungry for PT. Now, he looks like he'd like to get off the court. As for Davis throwing it in, once again, that's HP tactic. He's not heading down low when the play is being set up. I've always like a motion offense more, but we don't have the "movers" and handlers to run that...
