Where to sit?

There's not a bad seat in the house in my opinion but if I had a choice, I would sit between the 20's lower or upper. If there is somewhere I would prefer not to sit, I would say the North endzone upper deck

One word of advice, if you end up in the student section, you won't be sitting. You'll be standing for three hours (with a short break for half-time).
They're making it harder to get those with the ticketless system and now this year students are going to be selling to non-students a lot less with the 3 ticket upgrade limit. Still, best "seats" in the house.

You may want to consider waiting to get your tickets. It would not surprise me that if by that point in the season there will be plenty of cheap tickets available in the "visiting" teams section, and it won't be nearly as crowded, as their fanbase will be more focused on the upcoming women's basketball season. Just wait until kickoff to take your seat so you don't have to hear their band play that horrible song (fortunately, they will only play it once).;)

I'll be making my first trip to T-town this year for the 3rd sat of oct game. I am curious where to sit???

Two words: STUDENT SECTION!

My first live Alabama game was against UT in 2005. I sat in the student section of course, and thus far, of all the games I've been to after that, the intensity and just plain fun of that part of the stadium devours all the rest.
