A bit of interesting history...(The Last Coach, by Allen Barra writes:
"In 1948, the two coaches had made a gentlemen's agreement not to prepare for their annual showdown by watching the other's game films. However, three weeks after the Wildcats beat Marquette, a package arrived at the Kentucky athletic department. It was a film of the Marquette-Kentucky game, and it had been mistakenly addressed to the Athletic Department of the University of Tennessee at "Knoxville, Ky."
"Bryant simmered but said nothing, resisting the temptation to call Neyland's office and ask him what in hell was going on. On the afternoon of the game, Bryant arrived early and, without knocking, walked into Neyland's office.
"General, here's that film you asked for of the Marquette game," he said, tipping his hat as he slipped out of the office. Kentucky, a big underdog that afternoon, fought the Volunteers to a 0-0 tie." When Coach Bryant came to Bama, his past experiences didn't stay behind.
I am always wary of Volunteers....among others!
