This makes sense since he did much work with the 1s on A-Day, IIRC that is.
I understand what you mean, but Rashad Johnson was a Shula walk-on and look what Coach Saban was able to do with him.Nothing against him, but I'm a little concerned if we're down to walk-ons.
I'm concerned with anyone we put back there right now, but I'd definitely take a smart safety who knows Saban's D in and out over an incredible athlete who doesn't know jack about the D right now.

All I know is that he did play a lot at A-Day. I know this because a girl (a relative, no doubt) was cheering for him constantly every play in which he participated. Use your most nasal, country-twang female voice, "COME ON WEEE---UUUULLLL!!!!! LET'S GO WEEE---UUUULLLL!!!"
So I know he played a lot.

CNS doesn't like putting players out there that get out of place, especially in the secondary. Consistency seems to be a BIG thing for CNS, rather than potential or big play ability.
