I would and will...

I would and will cheer for Auburn in the Orange Bowl if they make it. I'm a die hard Alabama fan, but I always dream of the 10 and 0 10 and 0 game. Alas it didn't happen this year, but Auburn IS a GREAT team. Anyone who doesn't acknowledge that needs to take their Bama fevered brain to Bryce. I will cheer for this team because they sprang from the same dirt as I did. They chewed through the same tough conference schedule we did and they did it with class and style. They fought from the bottom to the top with virtually no help from any of the pundits. Everything Auburn has achieved they won the hard way. NOTHING was handed to them. I WISH Alabama was in the same position but we aren't. I will cheer for those guys down the Road. If they don't get in I willl be one of those raising holy hell against the BCS (again.) I WANT to see Auburn hand an @ss whoopin to those boys from California. I want to see how west coast glitz matches up with southern toughness. These are our boys and a lot of them grew up in towns we live in, pass through on the way to work, or know of. How can you not cheer for these homegrown boys as the battle against USC? Is it because they have the bad fashion sense of wearing orange and blue? If that's all I pretty sure they'll be wearing white. Does that help? If you put on your Crimson colored glasses they almost look red. Really they do. Whatever
I just can't understand some of you guys and besides...it's basketball season.

Why would any Bama fan pull for the barn to win anything. The only time I have pulled for Auburn is when they were playing Tennessee, but not always then either. A national championship only helps them recruiting. I can't understand why anyone would want to go there, but they do and I sure ain't pulling for them to win anytime, anywhere.

Not just no...

But hell no. My allegiance begins and ends with The University of Alabama. I do not feel compelled to pull for teams just because they are in the Southeastern Conference. Sure, I have "secondary" teams for various reasons/connections to those schools (Texas, Oklahoma, and a little further down the list, even Florida), but I don't ever pull for a team just because they're from the SEC. And of course I pull for teams if it helps Alabama or makes Alabama look better...I absolutely pulled against one of my "secondary" teams because a Florida State win over Florida would have probably sealed our deal with the Peach Bowl.

Also...I can't stand to hear the reasoning that "Well, auburn needs to win because it'll just give the Mickey Mouse Pac-10 conference more cred if auburn doesn't go to Miami." It just makes my blood boil, almost as much as hearing techno rocky top does, or hearing the cow college try to sing Rammer Jammer to us.

As for going to Bryce because I will cheer against auburn in the Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl, or checkers, I am sure there are several posters here who would gladly join me there to cheer for the University of Hell before they would cheer for auburn.

Hmmm...the team I saw play in person Sat. was not great. Nope! In fact overrated came to my mind. They were completely lost during the entire first half. Yes, they adjusted at halftime, but so could I against a team that has a 3rd string QB, TB, and RB. :D

No sir Auburn was far from a # 3 team Sat. night.

You give FAR too little credit to our boys. We did not beat a weak team in the first half. We hung tough with the number one scoring defense in the nation. We took on the number 2 team in the nation and played them like Bama ought to. They are not overrated, we are underrated!

Pull for the tigers...

Not gonna do it. After viewing their boards and reading what these classless fans are about, no way no how will I ever root for the Barn.

Before the game they where saying how our defense was not what it was rated. Now, after the game and no BCS #2, they now say since they beat the #2 defense in the Nation that they should be #2.

Can't have it both ways barnies.

If we had the offense to 1/2 way match our defense, we would have blown them out in the first half.

I see them loosing before it's all over with.

I can't believe there are so many who wish bad luck on an in-state rival in a national title game.

I want Auburn to win every game but one every year.

They have a truly balanced and powerful team, one that deserves a chance to play for the title. We played them harder than anyone on their schedule this year, except maybe LSU; we should be proud of our effort, because there is a strong chance they could be the national champions...

I won't be pulling for the aubies in the Orange Bowl because----

I don't believe they will be there. No way as in NEVER !! They haven't made it to the Sugar yet either. I did have some Sugar Substitute to give them Saturday night :). After what I saw and heard from that cl*** less bunch Saturday night, I won't be pulling for them EVER and I hope it is another 47 years before they have a chance to win the MNC.

I do get to enjoy the fact that 4 of them will enjoy the SECCG due to the tickets they purchased ;) from me and if they do make it to the Sugar, I will enjoy that too for the same reason but not because I am pulling for them to win.:) Funny thing how their money will pay for my Tide Pride come January.

I would have to cheer for them. This is SEC football. Before the internet came along, I pulled for Auburn unless they were playing bama. Since the internet, you see the bad side of fans (because its easy to hide behind a monitor) and its easy to lt that representation skew your thoughts against the barn.

Yes, I will pull for AU the rest of this year....

1). They represent the State of Alabama

2). Although we will regret it in the short run, AU rubbing our faces in it, in the long run, it makes the SEC in general look good. That helps Bama when they are playing for the BCS bid for the NC. Besides, it is nice to see little brother do well......

Poorly. All the more reason for them to lose.

I couldn't care less how the SEC, as a conference, looks. I'm concerned with Bama. I'm thankful I'm not one of those who have been brainwashed to always pull for the SEC. The SEC doesn't fight our battles with the NCAA, and we shouldn't fight their battles on the field. The money we'd get from the conference win isn't worth anywhere near what it would cost Bama in recruiting.
