Second on Rivals, maybe second on Scout.com too. I think we'd need to steal Randle away to get the top spot.

Passing Ohio State on Scout.com will be near impossible, regardless of who we sign, and we'll likely need Randle to edge out LSU on Rivals.

Lacy's grades have been the problem, and he's now seen as a Bama lock, and what's the use of offering now, just to be turned down. All above are right, starting with BET. I worded very poorly in making it all about CUM's ego. It's more than just that. IF he doesn't steal TR back, it shows a huge chink in his armor and control of the state of FL...

LSU claims they did not offer Lacy because of his grades. Former LSU RB commit Dexter Pratt recently de-committed from them and committed to OSU. LSU then contacted Lacy to see if he had any interest in them. Lacy basically told LSU that he was not interested . If Lacy was interested in them he would most likely get an offer. I think LSU is also checking with Texas A&M RB commit Christine Michael to see if he is interested in them. I think right now Michael and Lacy are two RBs they would like to get in on.

I'd have to think top spot at least on Rivals. We'd have gotten more 4 stars than LSU and the same 5 stars , plus more commits. And I'm talking about without Randle too, especially if we get Lacy.

I think both Patrick & Lacy are also announcing then and I wouldn't be all that surprised if B.Moore ended up pushing his decision back to NSD as well . I guess it's even a possibility that P.Smith could do the same . If things were to break just the right way for us , I think we could land up to as many as 9

of those 11 . Enough so that at the end of the day , no matter who is left sitting in the #1 spot , Bama will become far and away the most dominant story .

Bamamag.com now has Trent Richardson visiting Tennessee this weekend... Something just isn't right here and I'm tired of thinking about him. I know he is a great player but his attitude and comments make me question his character. Maybe its all hype, but I no longer think so... If you are not committed then don't commit period, wait until NSD to do so. I know that he is still committed to us, but if he actually goes to UT for his visit, then everything will "jive" about the LT hire. He is a mediocre coach at best and a heck of a recruiter. Heck, we all know how hiring HS coaches to get recruits turns out, this will be more of the same... I no longer know anything about college football or recruiting after the past week. I am a BIG Mark Ingram fan so I am happy with or without him (TR). Coach LT seems to have some huge character flaws and I can't wait until he is fired with the whole UT staff in about 2 years. You know the pay increase doesn't pay off when job security will be a huge "?" as the demise of the Viles continues. My money is on LT losing his job in about 2 years and making considerably less money thereafter after the crap he pulled and character questionmarks. I sure as heck wouldn't hire him or trust him as a recruit. I hope TR makes the right decision for his future, I just don't think you should commit and wait this late in the game to begin to become "shakey". If he does not stick with us then this would seem a very intentional move to hurt our team as a whole. If you think this could hurt in any way our chances of landing TR then please delete.:mad2:

Regardless of who we finish with , we will have plenty of young men who WANT to wear the crimson jersey.....Combine that with Nick Saban and a rabid fanbase and support system and we continue to build our way to another championship....if we lose 1 or 2 that we had "locked up" I'll be disappointed but in the end we will be ok....there is always next year and more "must haves"

BOL said that he was still going to Florida State, so apparently the stuff on Scout.com is an error.

Keep in mind that any site administrator of the various team pages can edit that information on Scout.com, so it might just be some random guy out there looking to start some trouble.

Rivals info says he is going to FSU this weekend, but even if he goes to UT, we don't have anything to worry about with TR. His coach has said many times he is a great guy, and wants to make everyone happy. He doesn't wanna put down a school or say something bad about them. But like BET said he always comes back to Alabama. He has no character issues

I can see it now.....0730 on 4 Feb 09...first call comes in...we tidefans are glued to the board waiting for the first little news to come.....DK pops up and announces Roll Tide to start the tidal wave to flowing....then KK who was sitting beside him says the same thing...wow that was fast....next we get a surprise commitment on Myles, he says something to the effect that he could not turn down the opportunity to be coached by the best secondary coach in the modern era...the forum goes crazy.....Moore who had changed his mind AGAIN finally annouces that Alabama is the school for him......TR has three hats on a table as we all look on to the utmost, he has an UA, FL and LSU hat....he picks up the LSU hat and spits on it and throws it on the floor, UA and FL fans go wild, then he picks up the UA hat looks at the camera puts it on his head and said no stinking way he was going to be a blocker for Teabag, I mean Tebow.....Next comes news out of Mississippi, its the news conference with PP, Bumphis and some other guy who I could care less about....Bumphis and the other guys says they are going to State to ring cow bells.....PP looks them in the eyes in disbelief and say I am going somewhere to make a difference....He announces for Alabama!!!!....we all here in the Tide Nation go wild again as we don't know how much more our hearts can take......then Surfer comes on line with some news about our biggest recruits yet in Massie and Stinson .....he was so nervous when he posted it even his typing was shaking....BET, Airborne Tider and LCN chime in to say they told us so..lol....Some TNRC fan pops up on the board and claims that Tana Patrick is going to announce for them....we all give him the proverbial middle finger and say we will wait to reply when it is official....Well Tana announced alright, but for the opportunity to wear that crimson jersey and that CJW was an important factor in his decision.........needless to say we didn't see on snaggle tooth TNRC fan anymore that day...and the Barn continued to burn down...as the days along, Lacey signed his LOI as projected by all the smart people on the TF......last but absolutely not least, RR is in front of the camera ready to make his decision.....he picks up the Alabama hat, he picks up the LSU hat....he looks at both of them, then......he looks into the camera and says, I don't know where I am going.....I will let you know at a later date ala tOSU QB..........what a day, I sit back like a kid at Christmas dreaming of the championships to come and continued burning of the Barn regime.......and waiting for spring practice to get here Now that is my perdiction of Nick Saban Day, I hope everyone likes it..lol:biggrin:
