Alabama vs. WKU Postgame Thread

Ok, that's where you're wrong. He was not just the 3rd string running back.

I totally agree with you. He ran like a train coming at you. His running wasn't/hopefully isn't bad. He helped open holes big enough to drive a truck through.

In fact he's my favorite RB.

The percentage of an I-formation in our offense in the past 5 seasons (in which we have 2 national championships and 1 SEC championship) is at the very most, in single digits. I think we'll be fine.

Yep - won't affect our offense other than limiting (very slightly) the variety of plays we can hit with.

Other than the O-line woes, I'm not really concerned. I think our intention was to keep it pretty vanilla on O today and not show Arkansas anything. But with WKU putting 7-8 guys in the box all game long, I think it might have forced us a little out of our game plan and we were forced to throw more.

The team will be ready to play next week, and with our superior coaching and talent I expect us to win in Fayetteville.

I haven't looked yet but if we gained 100 yards it was because of that last TD run by #17.

I just had to delete someone on facebook who was a very good friend of mine for years. He's a barner but we have been friends since 3rd grade though. His message he sent me on facebook just ended that. He stated that he is glad that Fowler was injured but wished it was Yeldon... how classless!

I know he plays other roles... but he is still, at least in execution the third string RB. I never said just. But, you don't not use someone like that for fear of injuring them...

Good win could be better. Won't complain about a 35-0 win. With that said, I am more disappointed in Fowler's injury, to be honest. I hate it for the young man as he was quickly becoming a key component to the offense. I hope he can come back but those tears are unforgetable. But we will survive and continue to beast as a team.

I feel like some BBQ next week.

Pathetic barner.

Everybody has loved Jalston coming in and pounding teams late in games for years now (including last week), but now Saban has had a lapse of judgement because he got hurt? SMH:rolleyes:

It's uncharacteristic of him. We needed reps for our young ones. We have depth at the position, no doubt about it, but you have to woder what was going on. It was around 6:00 left in the game. No danger at all. But he is the coach, but this is the first time I question him. I still thinkmwe're gonna win it all though, just upset the way Fowler went down.

As a team in the second week of the season the best you hope for is to keep winning while you're still getting things worked out. We won 35 to freakin' 0. We gave up six sacks, need to work on that, we lost Fowler, need to adjust. Next game is Arkansas. I hear they're still going to expect us to play.....

To those who question CNS and Jalston being in the game.. go ask him what he was thinking... Please.. record it.
