2016-2017 Coaching Carousel

Don't get excited: the article says it is a possibility after the 2017 season.

I did read about the 2017 thing but the article also stated they could let him out of that. It didn't elaborate on penalties if that was the case.

Jeff Fisher is a complete fraud, and he basically made a career off of Steve McNair's arm/legs and an occasional win over the Seahawks. He either sold his soul or has incriminating evidence on GMs, cuz I could never understand how he was employed. Hard knocks just confirmed everything. He speaks like he should be evaluated under the NFL's concussion potocol (that's not hyperbole; listen to him speak). Just awful.

When he refused to bench Kerry Collins after going like 0-11, and then Vince Young comes in and they win like all these games and he benches VY again, I was pretty much done with Fisher. I'm not even a fan of the Titans, VY, etc., but I was like, "what the heck is this guy doing??"

You may already know this, but the Rams GM is The father of Fisher's agent... that's the only reason I can fathom that he was given a preseason extension.

Jeff Fisher is a complete fraud,

I couldn't disagree more.

That said, I believe that something has happened to him. He is not the same head coach that coached 11 teams to playoff appearances.

You are mistaken.

He's made the playoffs 6 times in 21 years of head coaching (20, if you don't count this year...but I do).

Umm...what has he accomplished? He "almost" won one super bowl because McNair was basically a one man team and played outta his mind. Other than that I just see a bunch of 8-8 seasons and broken dreams.

And as another poster said, it definitely helps that his agent (Demoff) is the daddy of the Rams COO.

Just go over to the Titans forums and ask whether Fisher is a fraud. Be sure to duck....

I said coached. Those earlier teams that went to the playoffs while he was the DC went because of his defenses. That is why/how he became a head coach.
