They feel that way because they are fans. Fans are idiots. Win and they love you. Lose and you suck, even if they loved you last week.

But something happened to Fisher. He lost touch with the game or something.

We can agree to disagree...but in an age of a lot of mediocre coaches in the NFL, he managed just 6 winning seasons as a head coach (I don't care about his time as a coordinator). Outside of his one flukey run to the Super Bowl, he is 2-5 in the playoffs in 20 years.

If you think that's great, or even above average, that's fine...I don't. I think he's the most overrated coach of the 21st century.

B1G, I think you meant 11 post season games not teams.
He's not a fraud. He's just a .500 career coach that had 4-5 good teams out of 22 years as HC.
 
He always seemed like a guy who would have more success and enjoyment coaching at the college level. He seemed to be really interested in the well being of his players that is until he went to the Rams where he just seemed to go through the motions.

Don't feel bad for Fisher. Since most NFL coaches last 2 years; he will find another HC job after sitting out maybe a year of less; that's why it's called the NFL (Not For Long).

I don't feel sorry for Fisher but you're distorting his record with the Titans.

He refused to evolve offensively. He's the NFL's Les (only he didn't win his title shot.)

In tapping Collins, Temple's taking more fruit from the Saban coaching tree ("player personnel director" or whatever the college label for the job is, early on at 'Bama).

Wonder if Kiffin expressed any interest in Temple when Rhule opted out? - doubtful. But U. of Delaware job (FCS) is still open. Sonnyboy Shula, anyone? Bob Shoop's name has also been mentioned there, though not as UcheaT DC, but as "former Columbia head coach. Talk about d@mning with faint (very faint) praise...
