Is probably the best for both parties. By having someone that played under him in high school and followed him to every stop, Gus had an OC that wasn't going to really push back. Plus, Rhett has the reputation of only Gus' system, so there was no real freshness to the offense (ala getting a guy that has a different background or multiple stops to incorporate new ideas).He needs to get away from Gus. He's coached his entire career under him and as a result carries the rep of being nothing but a clipboard holder. For him, it might end up being a great career move assuming he's successful.
