Georgia simply does not know how or have the maturity to handle success.Didn’t want to start another thread, but two of GA players got arrested after the game.

OU defense gave up 52 points, 661 yards total offense, 32 1st downs, 7-16 3rd downs, 3-4 4th downs, 213 (avg 6.3) yards rushing in game 9. It seems they still have a ways to go.... OU’s defense has come a long way since the beginning of the season.
I would really love to see this happen. And you are right people would come completely apart.I like GA and Alabama in the first round, and heads will explode around the country with an all SEC national championship game.![]()
And yet this last week they held #13 TCU to 17 points, 421 yards, 19 1st downs, 4-13 3rd downs, 155 (avg 4.8) yards rushing> Not great SEC defense level, but good enough to hold TCU in check. UGA's offense is statistically similar in PPG, and plays 'unbalanced football - they're 11th in the country in rushing (263 ypg) but 110th in the country in passing (171 ypg). If OU decided to take the running game away (easier said than done) and make Fromm beat them through the air, I don't know that UGA can score enough to keep up with OK.OU defense gave up 52 points, 661 yards total offense, 32 1st downs, 7-16 3rd downs, 3-4 4th downs, 213 (avg 6.3) yards rushing in game 9. I hate to break it to you but that's not a good comparison. If someone wants to cherry pick, they could look at the Barn game and assume Bama's D is weak.OU defense gave up 52 points, 661 yards total offense, 32 1st downs, 7-16 3rd downs, 3-4 4th downs, 213 (avg 6.3) yards rushing in game 9. It seems they still have a ways to go.
I wasn't comparing the two offenses, I was merely suggesting that I believe they have improved. They shut down a solid TCU team. Do I believe TCU is the same caliber as UGA? Not even close. But my point stands - if OU can slow down the UGA run game and force them to win through the air, i don't think UGA can score often enough to win the game, as I do believe OU will score points.I hate to break it to you but that's not a good comparison.
This game is all about GA running the ball and shortening the game. If GA can do that, they might kill OU. If they cannot, they might get killed by OU.I wasn't comparing the two offenses, I was merely suggesting that I believe they have improved. They shut down a solid TCU team. One other point - GA is very solid in special teams while OU is one of the worst in the country. So a close game really favors GA.
He will stay - folks need to stop asking this question about DCs. They will stay. The only time one has left before a championship - Kiffin. That didn't work out for Alabama. No team is ever going to do that again.I agree. Also, if Mel Tucker gets the Tennessee job, I wonder if he will stay to coach the GA/Oklahoma game? Should be interesting.
And my point was that, even if they have improved, their performance against TCU's Offense has little bearing as to how successful they can be against Georgia's Offense, as the two are vastly different in style and overall quality.I wasn't comparing the two offenses, I was merely suggesting that I believe they have improved. And I'd argue that comparing their defensive performance from a month ago against a rival (Okie Lite, a considerably more potent scoring offense and the #1 passing offense in the country) to UGA isn't a very good comparison either...And my point was that, even if they have improved, their performance against TCU's Offense has little bearing as to how successful they can be against Georgia's Offense, as the two are vastly different in style and overall quality.
