He was put into an impossible situation.Yea from a passing standpoint what he throw was good 123.7 passer rating with coming off the bench is not bad. From a qbr stand point he took too many sacks. That would improve with time tho if he didn’t get killed behind that oline first.
When he came into the game we were one mistake away from LOSING THE GAME.
Perhaps his hesitancy, which led to some of those sacks, was there wasn't a player open OR it was a tight window and he knew the last thing we could afford is an INT or Pix 6.
His job, at that point was to not lose the game and somehow allow the "talent" to overcome and win it.
It was pretty amazing that when he had a clean pocket and open receiver to Dippre that he pulled the trigger quickly, effortlessly and hit him in perfect stride. It just makes you wonder what he could do with a clean pocket and receivers running open (coupled with a good play action and run game to assist)?
