Seems that he'd be told that by whatever team drafts him before they draft him and if he says no, they won't draft him.If he goes to the pros, and I am pretty sure he will, how will he react if his new coach asks him to play another position?
Which is what I was getting at..............if they dont want him as QB, then he has to change or not get draftedSeems that he'd be told that by whatever team drafts him before they draft him and if he says no, they won't draft him.
When is someone going to ask Saban about the QB situation in 2024? While it can sometimes be fun to speculate, I would like to hear if straight from the horse's mouth. I find it interesting that noone has asked him yet.
I just can't imagine any offensive coordinator would decide on a quarterback who can't run his full playbook unless someone overrides his decision. That is, if all the rumors floating around that Reese had to simplify the offense for Milroe.
Speaking of Rees I bet his phone has been ringing nonstop since Saban announced his retirement. It's not rumors we made the change. The coaches talked about it, pretty openly. IT was certainly the topic of meetings with the game broadcast staff cause Kirk H. knew a good bit. It was also really, really obvious just watching the play calls, route trees etc. Then after the bye week, it was totally different, and that's when Kirk started saying things like simplified for him, made it a one-read look, and even that they are giving JM the ability to make the give/keep read on 'option' runs - those are being sent from the sideline.
think back to the visuals we saw of CTR in the booth, with this kinda 'I don't know what to do look". Reality is that he was calling plays that should have been successful, that had opportunities where they should have been, but the ball wasn't being delivered. Listen to the 'unofficial assistant coach' on youtube. He jokes that all the TEs and RBs must have been trying to get with JMs girlfriend because they are all wide open so often but JM refuses to throw them the ball.
It all really made me feel that the staff didn't really think JM was the right answer as the starter, but that the others didn't make it a complete no brainer decision, and team made their choice and showed versus USF they weren't going to play for someone else, so the team made their bed and had to lay in it.
This is what I want to seeWith the new coaching staff, I change my position. A true open competition at QB will take place. Let the best man win.
Rees. No peanut butter cups here.Speaking of Reese I bet his phone has been ringing nonstop since Saban announced his retirement.
I think Oregon and USC tried to recruit himDid Lanning try to recruit Sayin? Asking for a friend.
Because they know some people can't help but correct them.Rees. No peanut butter cups here.
why do we want to keep adding an e to Tommy and Nate’s last names?
