Well the unknown is now finally here…. Without question the Persian Gulf and Iraq are now likely to be a firestorm. To what degree the damage of our assets and Allies in the gulf suffer and what the actual intelligence on the Iranian nuclear progress will ultimately determine whether or not this was worth it.

We are here… for better or worse. I just don’t have the glowing optimism that this ends soon like many think. But you never truly know. Old Roman proverb “ the victor is not victorious until the vanquished says so”. I thought 20 years fighting the Taliban would have taught Americans not to claim victory just because you think your signs of technological dominance says so, but alas… we have the president claiming victory. I remember “mission accomplished”….

Well, this time of peace Trump is ushering in sure is great.

Lying sack of poop. Dictator Trump is getting his war.

Fetterman is full on MAGA now. I hope every Democrat that voted for him is disgusted.
You mean the democrats got to vote on something? The last 14 million that voted in a primary got their votes disenfranchised by George Clooney.

President Trump tells @seanhannity that 6 MOP 30,000 lb bunker buster bombs were dropped on Fordow. And 30 TLAM Tomahawk missiles were fired by US submarines at Natanz and Isfahan, destroying all 3 nuclear facilities completely.
There is one constant in the history of military aviation: aviators tend to over estimate their own effectiveness.
Allied estimates of the effectiveness of strategic bombing is a case in point. After the war, when the Strategic Bombing Survey got access to German records, they realized the record bomb tonnage month (Nov 1944) was also the German record aircraft and tank production month.
In the Pacific, US naval aviators attacked the Center Fleet in the Sibuyan Sea. Aviators reported they destroyed much of the Japanese fleet and forced survivors to retire, but the next day, that same Japanese force was engaging American escort carriers in Leyte Gulf.

So, when I see reports of a facility being "totally destroyed," I'm a little skeptical.

Iran launches more missiles at Israel…. So much for Peace.

Side note: if you took a shot for every superlative Trump used in that speech you would be passed out by the 2 minute mark. I still don’t understand how anyone could sit through an hour long talk with the way he talks… and that doesn’t take in account for what he talks about.

Also take into account who is saying it too. I have no doubt significant damage was done but I’ll wait and see the full extent of it before I 100% believe His Excellency, President for Life, Field Marshal lord of the beasts and fishes, General Admiral President Trump’s report on the events. Anything negative about Trump is deemed fake news and anything positive is exaggerated as the greatest thing since the dawn of time.

I will just say, I am not really pleased.
I hope it ends here, Iran ceases trying to get a nuclear weapon, and things become peaceful.
I fear the ripples do not stop here, however.
The problem is if the damage reported by Trump is to be believed then we have backed the regime into a corner, and it’s likely to go for broke since the whole point of the regime was to keep Iran safe from the western exploitation seen since the 1910’s. There will be a true response… what and when it is we will have to wait and see.

I believe the Iranian response will be this week or some time over the next five years.
And I do not believe firing missiles at Israel is the totality of that response. Iran will have something especially for the US.
And it will be at a time and place of their choosing.

Absolutely. You are wise to be very skeptical of anything Trump says. Even if he is told the truth, if he does not like the truth, he will just say what what he wants the truth to be.
"We had the biggest strikes ever. They were the biggest. They were yuge!"
"Our strikes were the best strikes ever launched. They were the best because I rebuilt the military over the last 12 weeks. We're the best. Thanks to me."

I think Iraq will probably erupt in violence again and something will happen in the Persian Gulf that will threaten US and European economic interests. But ultimately I just don’t see the regime saying “well we tried but he called our bluff. So let’s pursue for peace where we don’t get bombed again”.

Another thing to consider is what Acton said about the actual effect the bombings had. He pretty much made the case that this probably only accomplished two things: 1) it now guarantees that Iran will race towards the development of a nuclear bomb and 2) it gives them a reason to. He made the case that the facilities aren’t as important as the administration is making it out to be and that they have more than likely hid the enriched uranium all across the country already. He says they have the knowledge and experience to do it and will wait before resuming again. He has the question “is the United States going to bomb them every time they restart the program because this isn’t going to be the last time”
