Alabama Basketball Roster Tracker 2026-2027

Maybe so but I can assume CNO has a hefty NIL deal waiting on Allen if he is to return and it will still be available in that scenario which will allow him to allocate that money on someone who may not even be considering coming to play NCAA basketball from the overseas leagues. Lots of things could change if he were to forego college and they arent all bad for us. As Ive said before, time will tell but personally I think Amari returns.
IMO this should be the major backup plan. I've heard a plan floated that we might get a HS player to reclassify if we miss out on either Allen or Holloway. I'd be far more comfortable convincing a Euro player to commit due to the unknown of a HS kid adapting.

He can absolutely have a monster NIL nest egg and improve his draft stock. There is no downside to coming back.

He can go ask Charles Bediako what happens if he chooses poorly.

He didn’t set a particularly high bar for leaving. Anywhere in the first round, even pick 32, would suffice, it seems. Hope I’m wrong.
That guaranteed contract is what they are looking for. The money difference between 24 and 32 is not a huge difference compared to last pick in 1st round to 1st pick in second round and the guaranteed contract.

I see the Barn got a commit from a 6-5 guard from Lithuania. Been playing in Australia and NBA G-League in addition to Golden State Warriors summer league.

The guy is 24 freaking years old. And knowing fecklessness of the NCAA they’ll probably give him 3 years of eligibility.

This stuff is ridiculous.

Doesn't seem that way at first glance, but they want a guarantee. If you're consistently 26-32, is that a solid enough guarantee? That gives him a small margin for error.
Yea, first round grade typically means lottery or close to it.

He might not fit in a lot of team’s plans, so he’s got to be undeniable with his talent, play , and potential.

ESPN now has Amari falling to the second pick of the second round. Supper is on the table, Amari. Come on home.
The way these kids are listening to agents now vs what they actually want to do or should like Sherrell did about leaving who knows what he’ll do. But fingers crossed.

From the video I watched, he's a left-handed version of Philon. His "hesitation dribble game" looks to be unguardable at times (like Philon's) and I think his vision might be better than Philon's even now. A few weeks ago, I said I'd rather have a Euro than a HS reclassification due to the unknown about how a HSer would adapt. In looking at this particular kid, I'd say that if he reclassifies he likely needs to start from day one (unlike Philon) because his passing is better than either Allen or Holloway IMO. Great get from Oats... game changer here IMO.

Contrary to what some may choose to believe, the recent commitment of 4-star 2027 guard Anderson Diaz is not part of Alabama's "Plan B." The belief is that Diaz will work toward a reclassification in the coming months that puts him on Alabama's 2026-27 roster, but that's part of "Plan A" with Allen and Holloway also in tow.

Two tidbits: everyone polled said he should return, Diaz reclassifying was the plan all along.
