And rightly so...

Brown apologized for some of his remarks and language to trainers after his injury, which was caught by ESPN cameras. “He was doing his job," Brown said. “I was frustrated." When asked what was going through his mind after sustaining the knee and ankle injury after just returning from a knee injury, he said: “'This can’t be happening.’ My whole mindset was 'This really sucks.’"

We've got players apologizing, a player quitting, a player walking to the fence on the sideline to talk to daddy while the rest of the defense is being coached... Makes me think that the discipline isn't there to begin with...

I missed that also, who walked to the fence to talk to daddy? I doubt he was supposed to be in on that defense meeting but who knows.

I must have missed it. What player has quit and what player was talking to his dad?

I must admit that when it happened I didnt pay alot of attention to it. The day after as I was watching the game again, I had lost all respect for him. I then started thinking about what he was goign through and had already gone through with the injury and came to the conclusion that it was just a ton of built up frustration. I am very glad to hear that he did the right thing and admitted he made a mistake...

Feelings well up in all of us. We all say things in the heat of the moment that we would normally not say. It take a Man to step up and say they where wrong for saying it.

It's the ones that make excuses for why they said it that show their real colors.

You may be a bit correct in the need... personally I don't think so but that's beside the point. The bigger issue, IMO, is what business a TV network has in that area of the game. While I realize they want to get the "quick scoop" on all the injuries during a game, the time to do that is NOT to put the camera in the gathering around the player when the trainers are tending to him.

I think its biggest load of (insert your favorite word) to have a camera so close on an injured player that you can see if they missed a spot shaving! Let's try and put everyone's pain and agony on display for all to see. Sheesh. I have no disrespect for Keith and won't be throwing any stones in his general direction.

Nitpicky. That's the only word that applies here IMO. A camera had no buisness being shoved in a player's face seconds after an injury! Some of you are carrying this "lynch mob mentality" thing a little too far. BTW, I heard CMS forgot to wash his hands after he ate last night........he needs to be fired for that!!

What exactly did he say that would warrant an apology? I heard him say, "it's the knee man!" and "stop touching it!" He did say it rather harshly, but the guy was hurt. I would've probably said worse.

I've been watching football games a long time, and I can not recall the last time a camera was so close to an injured player. I agree with ya'll, the only apology should be from the camera man.

I can't blame KB for reacting the way that he did. Heck, I wouldn't want to list everything that I've said when I've been hurt :eek2: , so I can totally understand that it was in the heat of the moment. Plus, the poor dude has been through quite a bought w/ the injury bug over the last couple of years so his frustration is to be expected. It appeared to me that he "made up" for it by patting the trainer a moment later. Besides, that situation was between him and the trainer. KB doesn't owe me an apology, but I do respect him for making one publicly. There's no telling how many players have cursed the trainers, refs, other players etc., when they've been down on the field - his just happened to be broadcast over the air.

I may be in the minority but I love watching a game or replay in HD and surround sound. With all the different camera angles and mics it really gives you the "In the huddle" feeling. The downfall, for some, is you hear and see alot more than you used to but that is what I love...

He uttered a few expletives which is understandable under the circumstances and not realizing that the camera & mic were on him.

He better hope he had, because that was Rodney Brown the head trainer, who is in charge of any rehab he will need. :)

Actually, Rodney isn't the type to hold any kind of grudge or take anything like that seriously, so I doubt there is an issue, at least with him.

I can't give an opinion on what it means as far as KB and how it reflects on team discipline because Rodney is a relative so I am a bit biased in this particular situation.
