Brown Apologizes

We've got players apologizing, a player quitting, a player walking to the fence on the sideline to talk to daddy while the rest of the defense is being coached... Makes me think that the discipline isn't there to begin with...

I don't quite see where apologizing is a sign of a lack of discipline...just my thoughts.

The camera shot was pure "XFL" .:eek2:

IMO , KB has nothing to apologize for . ESPN might but , not KB .

RTR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:BigA:

ESPN is getting really bad about this kind of thing. I was repulsed at how they took advantage of every opportunity to show Paterno getting his leg broken, even on promotional ads, it's sick.

Why did ESPN keep the camera on him after the first expletive anyways!!! Makes totally no sense to me, if someone is hurt more than likely there not going to be saying anything nice.

I'm as big a sports fan as anyone and I agree that they had no business being that close. I'm already uncomfortable about the replays on serious injuries (not the ones where they are figuring out what happened, but those we have all seen where they are just showing us what great camera angles they have of the poor athlete -- see TP, which they did finally stop showing). Even an athlete in a public sporting event has some rights to be left alone -- I'd argue that on the ground writhing in pain from an injury is one of those times. The scholarship doesn't pay for that.

And I'm pretty sure the trainers hear worse, maybe regularly.

Brown didn't need to apologize for anything. If anyone should apologize it's the sound crew. Either way, classy move by KB. Unexpected and unnecessary IMO, but classy.

Unless you have been thru the pain don't judge him. You say things you don't mean. It's just like an animal that has been hurt. You touch that area and it will bite you, even if you are the one that takes care it. I had a bad car accident, well bad doesn't cover it I imagine. I had one leg wrapped behind the back of my neck and the other one was wrapped around my waist. I fell asleep while driving and now I was totally awake and now really mad. A preacher was at the scene because they didn't think I was gonna make it and even two paramedics quit after it because they had nightmares from me talking to them while I was crumbled up. I cussed the preacher out because he was talking to me but he wasn't listening. I imagine Keith was telling the trainer what he could tell him and was just frustrated with the guy not listening.
I have more respect for Keith than I ever had. Not because he got hurt and played banged up but because he said he had to come back next year. He owed it to everyone and himself. Thats what we all bragg about isn't it. The kid that bleeds crimson thru and thru. Unless you walk in a mans shoes for a day, never judge him.

He uttered a few expletives which is understandable under the circumstances and not realizing that the camera & mic were on him.

He also jerked his hand away from the trainer. All of this would not have been heard if ESPN hadn't had their microphones and camera so close. Heck, if I was in pain and had just messed up my knee, I might not be very friendly either.

Much ado about nothing...... I swear the fans that are getting irritated by this must have been in the band and the worst thing they ever experienced was chapped lips. The guy is pressing his injured knee, not letting a horse eat corn. Super, super sensitive tuba players. I guess Shula should apologize for the F bombs he dropped on the sideline directed at officials. Be a gentleman off the field, flip the switch on the field and hey things are said, we're an audience and if we just so happen to catch a dose of reality, oh well.

I know this has been beat on and beat on but how many of you actually played football at any level? Did your coach ever get in your kool aid? I mean really get in your kool aid, he probably said some things that you don't hear in Sunday school. Did you go home and tell momma or daddy that coach is a big ole meanie!?!

How many of you think that was the first time that trainer experienced anything like that? I had a friend of mine that works at a physical rehab facility here tell me about a 66 year old lady slapping the slop out of him and cussing him like a sailor. She did not mean it at all, but she was reacting to the pain in her shoulder as the scar tissue tore. I don't think KB is any different than that 66 year old lady.

I am not so much worried about what KB said...I'm more worried about what the article said about Capps-- "At right tackle, Capps (knee) is expected to start, despite sustaining a knee strain"

You are 100% on the money! Has a ACL injury then play 3 week before normal time to heal. Then get rolled over, by 2 players. What would you expect when a trainer is pulling on your leg " that hurt real bad can you please stop"? Luck the trainer didnt get knocked out. Get real guys!
